This fight confirmed it: Wlad has a glass jaw. He went down 3 times. He also went down against Sanders, Brewster, and Purrity.
Nah, he took some shots tonight, it took far less for Joshua to get his other opponents out of there.
You are crazy if you think Wlad showed glass tonight. The complete opposite. He showed an iron chin. He stood up to hellacious punches from a 250 lb man, and the shots that knocked him down would've knocked out most heavyweights. Unlike Sanders and earlier fights, his legs weren't completely gone. I was shocked it was the same guy. He seemed more solid tonight. Maybe it was pure will, he just wanted to win so bad.
He's not got a great chin but this is somewhat offset by his heart, he's never been knocked down to stay, and always wanted to fight on. This is a quality that forgive his somewhat weak chin. Even having said that, I can't think of many fighters that could have taken those kinds of shot AJ hit him with and not going down
Jesus effing .. are you seriously saying that after a fight like THAT? Are you totally braindead? Did you see the monster shots he was hit with? That uppercut that started the endgame in the 11th would have decapitated most fighters. And Wlad finished on his feet. If anything he PROVED his chin.
Looked like his chin and legs improved over the years to be honest. He looked pretty sharp after those knockdowns and very dangerous in the middle of the fight.
I actually disagree. His chin is far from glass. Glass would be one punch KO'd and unconscious on the canvas. Wlad went down, and got back up. Same against Sanders, same against Peter, etc.
This fight finally put to bed the myth About Wlads China chin. That uppercut in the 11th was hellish, and he took it clean. He also took other shots along the way. Both fighters in there proved to have world class mandibles.
If I press the report button on the opening post, will it report VG Addict to the appropriate mental health institutes who can give him the care he needs?
That uppercut was one of the hardest shots I've ever seen any heavyweight throw and Wlad not only wasn't knocked unconscious by it, but he was able to get up from the knockdown that followed it shortly after. Wlad's never had a bad chin, and if this fight doesn't prove it then it ain't worth proving.
