I disagree completely. He showed a great chin taking all those savage hooks and uppercuts from Joshua. The uppercut that he absorbed which completely snapped his neck back would have KFTO just about every active HW.
Wlad is weird. I've never seen him get his lights shut off, yet he doesn't take a punch well. He goes down easy, but gets back up and gets stopped on his feet. He also flinches in exchanges.
Must be some Earth 5 type glass that doesn't smash, or something similar. Couldn't believe some of the punches he was taking.
That uppercut was the hardest i have ever seen since Lewis vs Vitali and in a league with Tyson , Liston , Foreman , perfect shot - many heavyweights whould be out cold. I criticized wlads chin also as "bad" but change my opinion after this fight.
Lol this fight confirmed it? Being knocked out by club fighers like Purrity, Brewster, Sanders didn't confirm it? Or him being knocked down 3 times by Peter, once to both Williamson and Steve Pannell. Wlad was always a joke. He just fought in a **** poor Era and Eurobums got excited over it. Anthony Joshua is no better. He is a even worse fighter than Wlad.
This right here is most boxing fan's problem. Guy's been stopped four out of his five losses and then two ATG's like Sam Peter and Davarryl Williamson (like 6'3 215 pounds compared to Wlad's size) drop him and have him inventing new dances in-ring. Always been known as chinny. Then, for once in his career - literally the lone instance of glove meeting Wlad's chin in his entire career - he, actually you can't even say he took a huge shot because it for all intents and purposes stopped him for the fourth time in his career just didn't black him out, and, you know what? Wlad actually has a pretty good chin. I don't love or hate Wlad, but the dude had a heck of a career and was a heck of a fighter, but the one you know what in his armor or his most glaring one has always been his chin - whether that's more mental or physical really doesn't matter. When he's lost or almost lost, it's almost always been his chin that's let him down, nothing else.
I'm surprised he was standing after that last uppercut that rocked him. You will know the one I mean. He showed an Iron chin today.
His chin is not very good. He has used a very specific game plan to protect it during his career. The uppercut may not have visibly knocked him out but it put him on quest street long enough for Joshua to knock him down and then finish him.
Wlad proved me his chin tonight, not glass at all. And most HW's would have been KO's by round 3. Wlad also took sanders best shots and got up every time
Every single time wlad has been rocked, except for the sam peter fight, he has been stopped. The guy has zero chin. If you can touch him once its over. Yeah he took that uppercut, and 5 seconds later he was stopped.
What vitali got hit with the uppercut from lewis, his legs didn't even wobble. He kept moving forward throwing punches. And it was a hell of an uppercut. That's a chin. Wlad has never had a chin.
A glass chin that took a sledgehammer uppercut to shatter. Wlad doesn't have a good chin.... nor does he have a bad chin. It's HW........ one big punch and you are going to the canvass.. Wlad has only ever went to ground after an initial big punch.
Both Wlad and AJ took and gave monsterous shots in almost every rd. While the outcome was not what I was HOPING for, it was what I expected, except without near as much action and back and forth. Excellent fight that enhances the legacy of each fighter.
