of course wlad had a hard time. when your opponent never throws/opens up and is constantly running away, it's really hard to land effectively and score a knockout. i do think wlad should have gotten more aggressive and come after haye more, but i really can't blame him for the lack of action.

we all saw what happened when haye finally came after wlad in the 12th and briefly stunned him after barely throwing/landing a punch the entire first 11 rounds. wlad came after him hard and boy did that look scary for haye. that's exactly the kind of fight haye was trying to avoid the entire fight. he didn't want to throw and bring on an actual fight with wlad.

he fought scared the entire ****ing fight, just like every other one of the klitschko's opponents, and he will never be relevant at HW again. mark my words.

Hmm interesting stuff. It seemed to me that Wlad was struggling in there--as I watched I still felt it was possible that Wlad could be knocked out as late as the 10th or even in the 12th (I wonder if the audience was feeling that way in any other recent Klitschko fight). It seems unfair to diss Haye as if he was completely dominated a la Chambers, Chagaev and Peter. Insofar as Haye demonstrated more skill and chin and determination than these fighters, he proved himself to a large degree as a top heavyweight.

There's 2 ways to perceive the fight. Either Haye was a great fast opponent who Wlad beat with superior athleticism and technique (as well as size). Or Haye was a flawed lazy fighter and Wlad showed signs of being past his best not being able to tag him.

Either you concede Haye was the best opponent Wlad has faced for a long time (even comparing Haye to Peter I is flawed since Wlad is 200% better now), or you suggest Wlad had an off night or is on the decline. Let the debates begin.

When are the Hayetards going to claim Wlad doesn't fancy a rematch because he's scared?

Delusional isn't the word for these people.

Wlad chased Haye for 12 rounds. He landed the lead with like 60% accuracy, but then Haye would angle himself to such a degree that Wlad could not get his 1-2-3 to land.

Had Haye stood in there and slugged it out, he would've been on the canvas at least twice if he got up the first time.

Haye knows that he can't slug it out with Wladimir. That's why I'm curious what he plans to change IF he gets another chance...

What stands out is a Wlad-Haye rematch seems a more interesting potential fight then Wlad-Povetkin or Wlad-Areolla or Wlad-Chisora or any other opponent being talking about.

However Wladimir has given Haye his shot, and Haye's performance wasn't enough to ensure a rematch. There are many good reasons why Wlad wants nothing to do with Haye.

If Haye beats a top guy the fans should demand another Klitschko match. If it happens, hopefully Vitali will be up for the challenge.

I think people are SO bored with the heavyweights right now, that they're willing to root through the rubble to find ANYTHING at all ecouraging. Odlanier Solis falls apart in round one and people say "Yeah, but he was winning the round until then". Vladimir dominates Haye and people are rooting around some more looking for stuff to be excited about...but there's nothing.

What if Vlad did have trouble with Haye? So what? He still dominated the fight. Are you supposed to win mega-unification-super-fights WITHOUT any trouble?

Wlad in no way denied having a tough night, he even joked about his face being marked up at the post fight presser...to say he wants no part of a rematch is ridiculous

Wlad was landing the jab regularly although not as often as usual in those rounds. You have no idea what you're talking about if you really think Haye won more than 1-3 rounds of that fight & an argument could be made that Haye didn't win any. :deal
