Involved in 15 world titles fights, defending 14 times- Say we transported Wlad version to another 7 year period how would he do- Ive picked Feb 1990 to Feb 1997- I also picked the guys that fought for the heavyweight titles but chose the lineal path for the from 1990 to 1995 then took the WBC/WBA route as it was the oldest belt and most significant with the best fighters fighting for it) Also it would be those exact fighter from those exact fights....So Holyfield in 1990 was very different to the 1996 version ...i reckon he was better in 1996, also M. Tyson in 1990 to the version of 1996 was different too- Fighters and there record- 1990- Feb M. Tyson 37-0 Jul B. Douglas 29-4-1 (added as he was due the shot in Feb) Nov E. Holyfield 24-0 1991 April G. Foreman 69-2 Nov B. Cooper 26-7 1992 June L. Holmes 54-3 Nov R. Bowe 31-0 1993 (Change to Bowe opponents) Feb M. Dokes 50-3-2 May J. Ferguson 19-9 Nov E. Holyfield II 29-1 1994 Feb M. Moorer 35-0 Nov G. Foreman II 72-4 1995 April A. Schulz 21-1-1 (After this fight Foreman dosent fight for 18 months and then takes on a journeyman and all but surrenders his number 1 status so i chose O. McCall WBC belt at the time ) July O. McCall 26-5 Sep F. Bruno 39-4 1996 March M. Tyson 43-1 Sep B. Seldon 33-3 (Tyson/King sidestep Lewis who looks to be the best Now) Nov E. Holyfield III 32-3 1997 Feb L. Lewis 29-1 All in all 19 title fights here from a random moment in history 1990 to 1997- Predict Wlad results and total win/loss/draw record!
Me personally having thought of it id go- 1990 Lost Ko M. Tyson Win Ko B. Douglas Lost PTS Holyfield 1991 Win pts Foreman Win Ko Cooper 1992 Win pts Holmes Lost KO Bowe 1993 Win pts Dokes Win ko Ferguson Win pts Holyfield II 1994 Win ko Moorer Win pts Foreman II 1995 Win ko Schulz Win pts McCall Win ko Bruno 1996 Lose Ko Tyson II Win ko Seldon Lose ko Holyfield 1997 Lose ko Lewis Goes 13-6 out of 19 title fights
Wlad has made 7 defenses of the same title that Joe Louis held, he got that title when he beat chagev In a day of many belts he has a good number of defenses, but comparing like for like he has less than a 3rd of defenses as the record holder.
So he basically get Prime Lewis at the very end of his reign? Not that it matters one bit.. but he will get brutally knocked the **** out and everyone will say he was a fraud .... I think he loses to Tyson towards the beginning as well. Why don't you just match Wlad up against the top 10 of the 90's instead of doing this.
I think the run of fights would be more interesting- Since it accounts for wear and tear etc. He gone 15-0 in this era, but 13-6 in another so from my anaylsis this era is alot weaker.
I think that he losses to Tyson in the early 90s and Lewis in the late 90s, however the rest of the fights are winnable for Wlad. I think both Tyson and Holyfield declined towards the end of 1990 as well. So the early battles with Holyfield would be the most dangerous for Wlad, but I think that Wladimir could beat him. Bowe was good, but very inconsistent and not THAT good, I could very well see Wladimir decision him.. Also Wlad getting the best of Mike Tyson in the late 90s isn't unlikely either.
Yep Lewis and Tyson in these periods both by ko imo Difficult with the others because wlad hasn't had the same level of opposition to judge him by.... I think Bowe AT HIS BEST stands a good chance because wlad couldn't compete on the inside but I think wlad holds when he gets close and punishes him from range and frustrates bowe into mistakes Holyfield I don't think could live with his size and strength especially now he looked huge vs pianeta his training and nutrition must be spot on while holyfield pound for pound was better boxer I think the physical aspect makes the difference As for tyson late on it's pick him for me again Wlad leans on and holds the shorter guy close and trys to keep it at range the way he made haye look silly :yep but tyson even in decline is a very different animal
Ahh gotcha.. Well I think he will lose to Holyfield (of that version) Bowe,Lewis and Tyson. Wlad's greatest strength is his dedication to boxing. He is never unprepared.. That's why his losses to Brewster-Sanders-Purrity are double edge swords.. He don't have the excuse of 'not motivated or prepared' because he's always motivated and prepared............That being said he will still lose to the top 4 of the 90's and his chin is always in question. Bowe is a 6'5 235-237 Pound fighter.. who is a monster on the inside.. He got a good chin and will dominate Wlad with in fighting. It's a different thing controlling the outside vs Thompson's 6'5 compare to Bowe's 6'5.. Tyson is just a styles nightmare.. HOlyfield-Wlad is 50.50 Lewis will KO Wlad..... any version. It will be pretty brutal too. Think Grant-Lewis. I think Wlad will lose these 4......... He might win the rest but with his suspect chin and the number of punchers you listed............. he could drop one at any time.
we all like Wlad but the title that Foreman,Louis,Ali and all them had is The Ring/lineal title which Wlad got in 2009. So not 7 years. He's had a WBO belt for 7 years but a WBO belt isn't the "heavyweight championship of the world."
He does not beat any version of Holyfield, Lewis, Tyson during the 90's. Riddick Bowe..? Well the wreck that Golota faced twice he might well beat, but any other early 90's version..? he gets mugged. Wladimir Kiltschko would beat David Tua though, and Ike Ibeuchie sp* And i don't think he would be a easy fight for most heavyweights of the 90's, they would all be stressed coming into the fight.
