TBH, I don't know what's all the hype regarding this potential fight. Sure, Tua has a puncher's chance, but nothing more than that.
Tua is handled by great boxers and really, Wlad is the most technical out of all who he has faced. Plus, Tua's past his peak. Very easy fight for Wlad.

Would be a fight that generates a lot of emotion but in the end Wlad would outbox a Tua that is way past his prime and much slower and we all know how Lewis made Tua look like an amateur.

If Tua earns his shot, I'm all for the fight though.

Firepower doesn't beat Wlad if it doesn't come with the ability to land on him. While I rate Lennox above Wlad, still Wlad is even better at controlling range.

Chagaev is four inches taller than Tua and more skilled and he didn't land a meaningful punch on Wlad. If Chagaev could have borrowed Tua's power for that night, the fight would still have gone the same way. Tua also is easy to frustrate and mentally gives up on winning if he doesn't see how he can get through. After four rounds of eating Wlad's jab, Tua would go through the motions as he did against Lewis and Byrd.

Tua was **** against Lennox Lewis 10 years ago. Because he couldn't deal with a tall boxer with good boxing skill.
Tua hardly made an effort when he realized he was outclassed. He had NOTHING.

Why the hell would anyone want to see an OLD Tua against Klitschko ?

It would be a horrible boring shitty fight, believe me. :deal

    Absolutely spot on. :good

It wouldn't even pass as mild entertainment.

I hope beating Cameron and Friday won't get you a title shot. I know with four belts that you don't have to clear out the top 10 to get a shot but I'd hope you have to do more than that. If Wlad and Tua ever fought it would be a complete mismatch. At this point in Tua's career he would be a punching bag for Wlad and I'd be suprised if Wlad wasn't the first guy to knock Tua out. Tua from 7-8 years ago would be a different story but this one gets absolutely wrecked by Wlad. I still don't see this fight happening any time soon if it ever happens at all.

Yep, Tua has two more fights against journeyman after Friday thru Maori TV, with the fights probably in NZ. There's no money there for a better opponent. Once that's done, he should fight a mandatory for a belt. Or, skip the mandatory and put him in against the Klits or the Ruiz/Haye winner.
