Why start a thread about Wlad and constantly defend if you dont care what people say?

Clinical performence over a good fighter, definently. But it was not exciting at all.

 

boxing is all about hitting without getting hit and wlad does it better than just about anybody. haters are gonna have to get used to him because he is gonna hold that title a long time.

I take it as a badge of honor for Wlad, because the "boring" label routinely pops up when fighters are that much better than their opposition and don't go for the kill quickly. If he weren't a dominant fighter who could shut out opponents without taking any chances, people would find him more entertaining. But as it stands? Wlad gives his opponents so small a window to beat him, it borders on the unfair to some. He reminds me of Hopkins and Winky in that regard, two other fighters who just made it look easy at their best and have had the "boring" label attached to them.

I agree with you about taking the opponents' heart away...he just demoralizes the hell out of challengers now and leaves them all with the same look on their face.

 

Wlad does not suck, infact nobody would get near him in the division nowadays. Including Haye.

Does not change the fact that he is not an exciting fighter for the non Wlad fan to watch.

 

Considering current HW landscape, a great win for Wlad.

Wlad looked very comfortable through the whole fight, clearly dominating and yet not giving Chagaev any chances.

Would be nice to see someone challenge him, but the fact he can make his win against probably the third best fighter in the world look so routine speaks volumes of his dominance...

I said he wasn't exciting. You can hit and not get hit in more exciting ways than Wlad does it. I suggest looking up some fighters.

Right now he is the true heavyweight champion. He is the man in heavyweigt! Of course, he could take more risks, but why when he wins against all the fighters with such ease....

 

It was not a great performance even though he won it too easily but he could have Chagaev out there alot earlier but choose not too cause he's still don't take much risk in which it's his habit. Steward needs to tell Wlad that he has to take risk if he has a fighter hurt like go for the kill. Chagaev was hurt alot earlier like in the 2nd round and Wlad should have finish him off right there.
