He already has. Richard Schafer of Golden Boy has been negotiating on Haye's behalf for the last few weeks.
I've known this...and the fight is still in limbo. Why is that? He is still involved, I'm sure. If he really wants this fight made, he needs to completely remove himself from all negotiations. Again, I've been saying this for the past couple of weeks...I really don't think he wants this fight at this time. He simply wants to be recognized at the elite level of the division for the obvious reasons. Mark my words, he will end up fighting Valuev or Chagaev before he fights either Klitschko brother. I hope I'm wrong, but so far I don't think that I am.
Yeah, I would hope so. To Rahman's credit, I'm surprised he lasted that long being a punching like that for 8 rounds.
yeah im not so sure either. u keep seeing these ludacris british reports that the deal is "done and dusted" etc...til they announce the fight im gonna be pessimistic. i think Haye and his team wanted to break the bank on this one but when they couldn't deliver the soccer stadium venue in the UK they saw a lot of potential revenue disappear.
That's right...I'm not saying anything ridiculous like, "Haye is scared," because that's not the case...I do think that if both men continue to win this fight will eventually happen. Just not at this time.
:good I read the Sky Sports article earlier aswell and remember it was a Klitschko representative that said they hope the fight will be announced next week:hey:deal
Yep I hope so anyway.Cannot believe there was a suggestion that a fight involving Haye/Valuev and Chagaev would happen before this one:nut
I hope you're right, Mickey Blue... I would hate to see someone waste valuable fight time because of a ridiculous contract dispute or promotional game. When current fighters only fight 2-3 times a year, that action would be considered sinful!!
Why...it's considered an easier fight and it's for a title? I wouldn't blame Haye for taking these fights over a fight with either klitschko brother.
Thats where Haye differs from most boxers of today. He wants to fight the best to be recognised as the best and not waste time knocking out bums as he would put it
