OK fair enough.Haye is better than Arreola.Haye is a unified champ.Arreola hasn't fought anybody.Haye has a chance to do what Holyfield did years ago and make the move up from cruiser and become champion at heavy.That could be what is generating interest along with all the talk about him

 

I didn't say I wanted Wlad vs Arreola though. I want Wlad to fight someone who should be seen as the consensus number one, non-titled challenger in Povetkin. I also think that it is a bigger fight, maybe not in America or Britain, but world wide it is a bigger fight.

 

You compared the two though in terms of opposition faced.Povetkin was the mandatory for the IBF but gotm injured like I said already.Unfortunate,but thats boxing

 

Yeah, and he could have rescheduled it. Obviously the fight was worth a lot of K2 was willing to put up a 13.13 million dollar purse bid, I am pretty sure Haye isn't making 3.3 million.

As is, based on interviews, it seems like if Wladimir is keen on not facing someone, or at least prolonging the fight as long as possible, than man is Povetkin.

I agree with most of what you said but in reality Haye is getting a shot for these reasons:

1. He said he wanted it so badly.

2. Wlad went out of his way to clear his mandatory by fighting Rahman so this fight could happen.

3. It's a big money fight for all concerned.

None of us knows exactly what was offered or refused but the truth is Wlad could also make a shitload of cash fighting Arreola on the West Coast since Chris is of Mexican descent & there's a huge amount of Mexicans there.

If Haye was the mandatory for the IBF or WBO and they couldn't reach terms it would go to arbitration. Haye would probably get 25% to 30% at most. Maybe an argument could be made for 65-35.

Where the **** did you come up with 45% for Wlad's voluntary? I understand Haye isn't an unknown guy, he has many Brit fans, but c'mon.
