I hope Wladimir will box against Arreola.

Let Haye go. This guy is not worthy to talk with the Heavyweight Champion. Just a wast of time. So Haye can show the world how good he is. Talk is cheap Mr. Haye.

Wlad isn't the heavyweight champion. He is a world title holder. There is no true champion. Just a bunch of boring, limited, defensive minded title holders.

For some reason negotiations between Arreola and McCline have been postponed.
Could this mean the fight is really off?

The reason for this is that Wlad has started negotioations with Areola.
I have always said that Wlad does not need Haye, he will just go forward an fight Areola. On the other hand, things for Haye does not look so bright, Haye - Toney would give Haye back some credibility though.

He has two belts - half of the heavyweight championship. Vitali and Valuev have the other half.

When Wlad has four belts and 100% of the championship, then, and only then, is he the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Until then, he is a world title holder, nothing more.

Dimitrenko has to fight Povetkin (or Rogan) for EBU title.

As for Wlad if there are not any guy who'd like to try to take his belts from him, maybe he should just arrange a W.K-Sanders-2 or simply spend a time making some bucks on guys like Ruiz (plus get a mandatory for WBA ;) ), Toney:!:.

Or with Holy, Tyson (like charity demo bout, just for fun), or Lewis (just to irritate his bro, maybe tha rhey would fight each other:lol:)..

Wlad-Haye would be my first choice.
But Wlad-Arreola would be a good fight.

It would also probably be at the Staples Center,
which means I could attend. :D

Not entirely true. Yes, Wlad has belts, and Vitali/Valuev have the others.
However, I've felt for a long time that "The" Heavyweight Champ is the fighter who is clearly the better of those who hold titles.

With boxing politics the way they are, we might not see someone hold all the belts for 10 more years. Does that mean we have went without a Champion? Not in my opinion.

I don't think you can call yourself the heavyweight champion, when there are two other guys who you've never fought running around with 50% of that championship.

you put way too much stock in the belts. The belts mean ****. Valuev has never had a good win over a good opponent in his career.

Are Bernard Hopkins and Jermain Taylor the only fighters you consider real champions in the past 20 years? They are the only ones to hold all 4 belts simultaneously.

If you can clearly show you are the best fighter in the division, and that fact is beyond dispute, then I think its ok to call yourself, and be aknowledged as the Champion, belts are not the be all and end all of that, obviously.

I think it was beyond dispute that Haye was the Champion of the Crusierweight division. If Haye only had the IBF and WBO belts, like Wlad does at HW, then I think his status as "Champion" would be open to dispute.
