Wlad/Haye negotiations

NOT now... its over. I report to training camp end of july to get Wlad ready for POVETKIN.... talks are DONE

 

You know, I never thought about it before, but Wlad was on the hook for this since Haye fell through with his end of providing the stadium. Wow. Talk about your 'upset stomach moment'.

 

i think it's tough to know what actually is going on and what the motivations are. what we know as semi-facts are the first contract contract with the options was accepted and then abandoned by haye. then a contract with viatli was accepted and then abandoned by haye. now a fight with wlad, with 50/50 split and no options, was proposed with a public call out by wlad and haye has not accepted. in fact, he appears more interested in fighting a unranked, not even top 50 opponent. now these may be rumours but if they are true they don't instill a lot of faith in Haye

 

really? there was never a request for medical verification?

because IBF gave Wlad a cut off date of May 17 which wlad got them to extend... but its over. Wlad has no choice plus time for TV dates for RTL, HBO and time for everything to go to purse bid.

The entire boxing world cannot just sit back and wait for Davey boy to figure out his next move. He had enough time... the boxing world must go forward

 

It became a moot point when Chagaev stepped in. Plus he 'chose' the most difficult injury to disprove. Not at first if you remember, the ailment changed a few times before he settled on the back.

wow, a MUCH bigger deal was made of this than actually happened. there were more negotiations and talks on esb than there were between the fighters

 

other than that, he's still the second best opponent available. nuff said. again, unless wlad has a delorian and can crank it to '88 so he can fight in the 70s, this is all he can do

Not what happened at all

when they called us they said "we have to cancel" David needs 4 weeks for his back"

Wlad said "OK" we will wait... then they came back with "we need 8-12 weeks" So we moved onto the next guy... had we not been able to get Chagaev, I think there would have been a lot more to the story
