Okay so if you want to play Mr stats, let's go. So if you were to run a regression analysis (R2) on this to prove your hypothesis what would the variables be? Because you're analysis is to say the least "bush league". There are a host of variables to consider such as: Punch resistance of the opponent, the weight of the opponent, whether or not the opponent saw the punch coming, whether or not he was coming forward or retreating, whether or not the puncher was coming forward or retreating. Was the opponent hurt prior to the knock out punch? How much experience does the opponent have? (perhaps a more experienced fighter doesn't get in range as often, or can move enough to make the punches glancing blows rather than full on shots) What is the quality of their defense. (ie maybe they can roll with punches better than most) You would pretty much need to know these aspects for every fighter to properly answer this question. Someone like Douglas may very well have had Wlad on his ass after two rounds, so how do you compare that to Tyson knocking him down in the later rounds? The simple answer is you can't.
Sorry, he flattened a lot of nobodies I thought he was indestructible at one time but Holyfield and Lewis made him human
Wlad would have scared Michael Spinks to taking a knee before any punches were thrown. Wlad has big man power
I have already stated and acknowledged that that is no way you could conclusively proof who punches harder, as the test to prove this can never be conducted. Notice how I used the word "suggests" instead of "proves". My comment didn't set out to prove anything merely make some suggestions. I know there are many, many variables in play here including the ones you stated. Some are more important that others, some can be easily accounted for like the weight of their opponents (e.g Tyson's opponents median weight was 218lbs and Wlad's are 232lbs) while others like what the opponents ate for breakfast or how many cracks they stepped on the sidewalk the week before the fight would be very hard to figure out.:think There are many other facts when comparing the two fighter's careers that suggests that Wlad is the bigger puncher, again this doesn't concretely in black and white prove that Wlad hits harder but people can make up their own minds and come to their own conclusions.
And yet you're still the moron not heeding his own words of supposedly putting me on ignore. BRILLIANT!! :rofl
You realize there is a button to show comments from a poster on an ignore list?atsch If youre gonna be a smart ass, first you have to be smart. Otherwise youre just an ass. I am going to stop communicating with you now because I'm a nice guy and it is immoral to engage in a battle of wits with someone who is unarmed.
The question begs, why would any moron want to see the comments of someone they supposedly have on ignore? Wouldnt you just be doing EXACTLY what you said you were not going to do? If that is the case than you are indeed the epitome of a moron!
Anyone who has actually boxed at some point knows that being hit by different fighters just feels different - it's not necessarily just 'who hits harder' but how they hit. Being hit by Tyson was, from what I have read, like getting hit by a snooker ball in a sock. Hit by Foreman, for example, like getting pounded with a shovel - more blunt force. Either can take you out, but neither are the same.
