    Hey,

me and my girlfriend just came back from our day at Wladimir’s training camp in Going. Had a ten hours ride but it was clearly worth it! I met Chef, saw training, sparring and Chef introduced me to the whole team, including the Champ himself.

First of all: Chef is real ;) He is a top guy, down to earth and funny as hell. He took his time for me and my girlfriend, but still his main task was his team.
When we arrived, he welcomed us and passed us by all the people who were already sitting and watching. He got us our own bench, so we could see everything better and kinda sat in front of all the other people, right in front of the ring. After that Chef got both of us a training camp shirt, the one that all the team members are wearing, without sleeves.

Wlad looked very confident and focused. We arrived at 4 pm, Wlad started stretching and preparing with Aldo, his physiotherapist, the bald guy you can see on every picture. Then they put on the bandages. After that the sparring began.
Wlad was doing twelve rounds of sparring. Four rounds against guy #1, four rounds against #2, three rounds against #3 and one round against #4. To be honest, I didn’t know them. In the first rounds Wlad needed to get warmed up, but during rounds 3 and 4 the sparring partner #1 got beat up and left with a bloody nose. He was the guy in the center left.
The second one was Wladimir Tereshkin. Chef said that he is a member at almost every camp and that Wlad and he know each other so well that it’s like chess. Very good, session and competitive. Tereshkin had good bodyshots.

After that there was guy # 3. He looked like Deontay Wilder and when I asked Chef whether it was Deontay he laughed and said that everybody believes that because of their legs. He was an amateur I think. I think Chef said that. Very skinny legs, very athletic and fast. He was knocked down two times and clearly lost, but was very fast, like a cat.
Guy #4 was the guy in the left bottom. Only one round, Wlad’s round.

It was only the first week of sparring, but Wlad was looking great. Chef said, that Wlad is still skinny. We couldn’t believe it. He is walking around at 241 right now, Chef thinks that it’s gonna be 245 at the weigh in. Wlad took everything out of the sparring partners and adapted to every style and even after many rounds, he could go full speed with the fresh guys.
Steffen Kretschmann and Jarno Rosberg were also there, but Kretschmann injured himself a day before and Rosberg didn’t fight either.

There were about 100 fans and after sparring Wlad took fotos with EVERYONE of them and gave them autographs. In the meanwhile Chef introduced me to the team.
First one was Jonathon Banks. Cool guy. He was surprised that I knew about the fight with Mitchell etc.
The second one was James Ali Bashir. Man, what a cool guy. He is making fun, he interacts with the fans etc. When Chef introduced me to Bashir, he asked “David, who’s dat mo****er? Is he an international drug dealer?” I couldn’t help but smile. And then Chef whacked his chest and both were laughing. After all people left, Chef introduced me to Aldo, the physiotherapist. A cool and calm guy, seemed not so rude as the others :D and was very polite.

The last one was Wlad, at around 8:30, after his training, sparring and the media and fan stuff, he had time for us. Very calm and polite. When we wanted to take a picture, I stood next to Wlad and my girlfriend stood next to me, but not next to Wladimir. He asked her “Are you afraid of me?” She then went next to Wladimir and we took a picture. We thanked him for everything and left. We still talked to Chef after it and thanked him and left at around 9 pm. They have long ass working days, but still they’re very nice, cool and fan friendly. Chef is a top guy, as is the rest of the team. And also Wladimir, who trained and sparred and had all the fan and media stuff.

Easily one of the greatest days. It's a great atmosphere at fight camp.
PS: No pics for you, I know you. Remember the Hyland-Smash-thread?

The picture I was referring to, was this:

No, unfortunately he did not cook for us :) . When we left, Wlad still had some media stuff to do. Chef said dinner would be at 10:30 or so. Very late.

So everyone else knows, the fighters in the picture are:

Top Row left to right are: Jarno Rosberg, Steffen Kretschmann, and Vladimir Tereshkin

2nd row is Nate James and bottom is Jordan Shimmell.

The sparring pic is Wladimir and Rosberg.
