Fury is going to eat the hardest and the most punches he's ever had to in the first 4-5 rounds. Wlad gets him out of there within 6. Tyson's dad will most likely throw in the towel. Watch
And even if he was aggressive enough he doesn't have the foot work to cut off the ring on Fury well enough to get to him. Wlad was aggressive against Pulev, but that was because he had such an immobile opponent he could easily get to. He stayed out of range of Pulev's jab and then jumped in with the left hook but that won't work with Fury who is far more mobile and who will step back to create space unlike Pulev. Which means Wlad will need more forward momentum to pressure Fury and he simply doesn't have the upper body and head movement to do that without getting caught on the way in. Wlad really needs to change too many things to win. All he has is a punchers chance.
Everyone are wondering if it was indeed a one night off or he is done at the Elite level , both are plausible and we will probably get our answer soon.
This is true. The thing is Wlad is so scared and punch-averse when moving in that he aborts any attack on the lightest jab Fury throws. Fury is feather-fisted, and even more so when fighting on the backfoot. Wlad is glass chinned and paper skinned (prone to cuts), but I feel he could take a couple jabs from Fury while trying to land his own punches.
He was in great shape last time, he needs to find a way to solve the Fury riddle and it isn't throwing next to zero punches following Fury around.
Wlad can be in the best shape of his life and still not be able to pull the trigger. It happens. I want him to win but he seems like a shell of his former self after Manny passed away. His jab has become more of a polearm than the mechanized hard driven piston it once was also.
