Agree to disagreee. Think about it, Byrd has been stopped a few times, Briggs has as well, Grant we know his story. Only Peter is known for his chin on that list, but he had never proven it. Wlad IMO has the power to stop him mid rounds, but isn't going to open up because he could get stopped by Peter. If he was better at head movement, he would take out Peter early. But just my opinion. You're obviously entitled to yours :)

Fair enough, but how many fighters do you know that can go 12 with Wlad and actually take big shots without going down, Tua and Mccall currently come to mind, but even those two at this stage in there career may be stopped late in the fight. Bryd was only knocked out by Ibeabuchi up to the point where he fought Mccline, he took everything from big punchers like Tua, Vitali, Wlad, Golota, and only went down against Wlad, but never knocked out against these guys.

Vlad have lost to Ali, Foreman, Holmes, and Frazier. He would have been a 50/50 match against Norton, and he probably would have beaten everybody else in the '70s.

yeah right, wlad loses to norton, wepner, bonavena, blin, bugner, mildenberger, coopman, young, evangelista. they were all so much better because they were born further in the PAST. PAST = stronger, better conditioned (though they trained in some smoky honky-tonk and ate unhealthy), better technique (though most of them didn't start until their 20s and never made it to the olympics).

IF WLAD was fighting back then the refs no doubt would have regulated on the holding...

...or been killed by the hostile Pro-American anti-communist crowds. The refs would have done their job.

 Great sarcasm. You just ran off some of Ali's "big" wins (except for Norton, who was robbed vs Ali in their 3rd bout) :rofl
Recent HWs - and not just LL or K bros - would easily beat most of these guys. Some of them were very good - for their era. You can not make a logical argument with most of the 70s era or Tyson fans. Did you know there were fans here just a few years ago that said if Mikey got serious he could "clean out" the current HWs :nut The stupidity is more to feel sorry for than embarrassing. Tyson couldn't even get by McBride - nothing more than a journeyman. And LL beat Tyson like a rented mule in '02 even though LL is a bit older than MT. Oh, I forgot Mikey was past his prime :tired Most of the 70s HW worshippers have made comic book superheros out of those fighters. Sad, and the US continues to decline in ways much more important than HW boxing.

Let them cling to their past dreams of US "dominance" when half the world could not or did not compete :-(

You think Mike was not past his prime in time of Lennox fight? Even when it was already over ten years when he had lost hes undisputed title. Man you should watch some Tyson fights before making those comments

BJ you've had some of the most idiotic posts I've ever seen. Now you're trying to top yourself. Your history of WW2 EF is worse than your boxing blatherings. I'm an Eastern Front enthusiast. Few here probably are - so I'll illuminate them.

I respect the soldiers of both sides in that horrible war - the war of the century. But it was the

that broke the back of the Whermacht. Hitler was an idiot :nut to have invaded the Soviets. The Germans were well trained and had good equipment... but they bit off much more than they could chew. By late '42 the tide had turned. By 1945 the Soviets were in the heart of Germany and Berlin - taking their revenge.

You must not think much of those SS divisions if they got beat by "cowards" :rofl :yep
