Wlad is making a habit of beating opponents with 1 hand

Wlad is just doing what works for him. Fighting off the Jab is traditional old school boxing. It's the first thing taught and apparently now a days, the first thing forgotten. Wlad is a throw back fighter in many ways. He has a modern physique with old school skills.

Manny has shown him that he doesn't need those other punches if he uses his jab good. But then again, Iggy was awkward and this is the most limited Ive seen Wlad, I think he'll throw more right hands in his next fight.

The point of the jab is to setup your offense. You use a jab in order to setup a cross, hook or uppercut. Most combos should start with a jab. Wlad rarely followed up that jab with a power punch. That's not old school boxing.

Kelly is a 1,2 fighter. He constantly throws that right cross behind a jab or a double jab. You won't see Kelly constantly jabbing without following up with a power punch.

After watching Wlads last fight. (Brewster), I can't believe people are saying he's coming limited. He went against an awkward southpaw. In the Brewster fight, he came out throwing hooks and right hands. Wlad is fine, just an awkward fight against Iggy.

Wlad could've opened up a little more, but ever since the Brock fight, his opponents have taken to the strategy of waiting for him to throw power shots and then trying to counter. Wlad didn't bite, and simply has jabbed them to death. Brewster was on the verge of taking a terrible beating once Wlad started opening up. If I remember correctly, he didn't even throw 1 right hand against Austin and still blasted him out in 2.

Also, it doesn't hurt that his jab is at an ATG level.

He's getting far too much hate for the Ibragimov win.

Styles make fights, and somehow I guess Wlad belived Sultan was a better counterpuncher than he was in that fight anyway. Roundhouse punches wasn´t even close to land flush.
I understand the critisism towards WK, but as stated above...he gets way too much **** for one boring easy win.

he could have KO'ed Iggy if Iggy had engaged more. It goes both ways, neither fighter pressed the action therefore Wlad utilized the jab to win rounds. I think Wlad was waiting for Iggy to get desperate before opening up...only thing Iggy knew he was losing a near shutout but never took necessary risks to change the tide. It's as if Iggy chose to eat jabs than to pressure Wlad and eat potential right hands and left-hooks.

People say they were disappointed with Wlad...i'm more disappointed in Iggy a "heavyweight champion" sitting on the outside eating jabs in the final two rounds knowing he was going to lose if he didn't attempt to land flush blows on Wlad. Iggy looked like he didn't care about losing towards the end of the fight.

i don't understand how people call Wlad cowardly when Iggy was just as much so if not more. Brewster got desperate, charged in and took the title. Iggy chose to lose a decision rather than risk a KO. He maybe won a round (two if you're generous) and proceeded to do nothing the final two rounds to defend his crown.

I agree...WK is beeing blamed...though Sultan totally failed to even try.

The haters disappointment in Wlad when he wins easy without getting tagged in an entire fight shows us that they really know there´s so much more in WK than what we saw saturday night. :deal
