Yeah, Volo ain't interested in embarrassing the WBA for a third time, making the most money he can get out of an opponent out there after the Haye letdown, taking someone's 0, embarrassing Teddy, beating the **** out of a guy that left him high and dry, etc. Naw, Volo ain't interested in that!...Of course he's interested. But he knows Povetkin isn't. So, he's not going to put a public display of giving a **** out there.
Povetkin has no chance Vs. Vlad.......................a fight with Tarver has been discussed...........................and Povetkin will fight Holyfield.
The problem with Povetkin is that he already pulled out of Wlad fights not once but TWICE. Twice Wlad was in training camp and getting ready for Povetkin and twice Povetkin sh** his pants and pulled out. I don't think a fight between the two will ever happen. And nobody gives a **** about Povetkin anyways.
I think this is whats happening also. Although maybe Vitaliy told him to back off and not embarrass Povetkin as it would hurt Ukraine-Russia relationship:think
This isn't quite true, he has already beaten Byrd, Chambers and Chagaev. He has a strong case of having the best resume (outside of the Klitschko's) amongst the top 20 HW's.
Povetkin has no chance against Wlad and Sauerland knows it. Povetkin pulls out twice and he will pull out again.
Yes, Wlad's stoppage record in title fights is impressive. But my point is that a match with Povetkin, ( as with many of his recent opponents ) would not provide much excitement, stoppage or not.
