:lol: Wlad vs. Ibragimov sold out MSG. The fight against Chagaev would have also sold out here. There are over 500,000 Russian speaking people in the NY/NJ/CT area.

 Yeah, but they won't sell out again if they fought again given the stinker Wlad put on.

But i was referring more to the West Coast area where there are very few Russians. They won't sell much in Los Angeles that's for sure.

Pac will fill up all the auditoriums and theaters showing his fight live via satellite. That should be about 90M spectators and 10M paying viewers. That's a fact. This is only in the Philippines, not considering Pinoys all over the world. And that's only Filipino fans.

Thing is, boxing is promoted very well in Germany. The Klitschko's are respected, celebrities, do commercials, etc.

And it's not just a fight. There's the half an hour background story, the ****ing awesome fireworks and lights show, the atmosphere.... it's an experience. There's a reason those tickets sell better than water in the Sahara.... and a lot of girls, too. Being broadcast for free on live television doesn't hurt, either.

Regardless of who he's fighting.............Its good to see Wlad wants his fights to be seen by the most possible fans. No PPV bull****. Regular HBO (or in this case, ESPN Classic)

I think Wlad vs Povetkin will also do well (Germany, or whereever they stage it). Not quite on this Haye level, but pretty big, still.

If the US had a credible prime HWT challenger, it would be a real life Rocky vs. Drago fgiht, and undoubtedly one of the biggest selling fights in history. Problem is the US is not able to produce a credible prime HWT challenger at this time.

I think you keep grasping for straws, Klit would sell out in Las vegas..even the 17k mgm. He might not sell out the staples center, but did you see the market share the NBA got? 14% share. Wlad did a 60% share.....

try and think more golablly, Germany has the best fans on the planet. The USA is pathetic in terms on boxing events.

I was amazed that Ibragimov Wlad sold out MSG. Given the state of heavyweight boxing in the US, that is pretty impressive.

That's because the Philipines really have nobody else to offer... Pac is all they have, so the entire nation is following him. He's like a God there.

I work with quite a few Filipinos. Most of them don't give a rat's ass about boxing, but they watch every Manny's fight simply because of his God-like status in the Phillipines.

How about Donaire and Viloria? :deal They're treated like rock stars in the Phils. Filipinos not only watch Pacquiao, people of different nationalities watch him because he's the most exciting boxer in the planet. I may sound like PACDABEST but it's proven fact. :deal

Wlad is the best heavyweight but the problem is nobody in the HW division can fight him competitively. So his fights become predictable and boring. Who wants to see that kind of fight?
