Wlad is so much better fundamentally as a boxer than Vitali

I would actually rate Wladmir slightly higher h2h when it comes to facing other guys. But against each other, Wladmir would go life and death with his brother and has a very good chance of loosing. Vitali would pressure him much harder than any other opponent and had the durability and stamina to drag him into deep waters.

 

I would LOVE to see the “Brutal” sparring sessions those two had before they both agreed that sparring each other isn’t good for their health. They briefly described it before and I believe they both got injured. Got too competitive.

Wladimir definitely hits harder and has the faster punches with better technique AND faster feet. But Vitali was physically stronger, tougher and had the better endurance. Would have been a war.

 

The Klitschko documentary on Netflix briefly went over some of the sparring sessions (sadly no footage, just Wladmir recounting things). I think Vitali hurt his nose in one session so bad he considered quitting. They had a few gym wars with Steward watching, but then their mom made them promise not to fight.

 

It's a problem within the sport and tbh I might have to get into the lower divisions more bcuz after Spence/Crawford I don't c a fight that important happening anytime soon. I needa get hip to the bantamweight division history n lower anyways.
