Awful style matchup for Wlad, it happens even with great fighters.

 

I love some of these posts.Tyson would KO Wlad in 1 round apparently,but it took him 5 rounds to stop the supreme technician and defensive master that was Bruno,in there first fight.
Wlads jab would be in Tysons face constantly,and if he found Tysons chin with the right it would be game over.

Tyson was the softest HW of all time. Couldn't handle anything better than a C fighter. Was intimidated by everyone that wasn't afraid of him. Wlad would ass **** Tyson in less than 5 rounds. Wlad hits harder, is much bigger, and has a much bigger jab. Tyson was destroyed by a fat Buster Douglas. LOL.

 

You make some good points about Tyson. I always said he is the most overrated fighter EVER as IMO he never beat anyone that was any good. But you seem to be forgetting that Wlad would be a C level fighter in that era. In the valley of the blind the one eyed man is king.

 

This is one GREAT post. It just tells it like it is.

 

Plus Tyson was champion in a much better era. This is the worst era for HW boxing in history.

 

Prime Tyson beat guys like Berbick and Bonecrusher Smith to become champion and was knocked silly by Buster Douglas. Wlad is no coke-head like the best HW's in the 80's were, he's not a blown up, old, and unmotivated LHW either, Klitschko would crush Tyson.

 

Yeah, to me, today's HW division would be much worse off without Wlad and Vitali around. But...Wlad vs a "Prime" Tyson is a terrible style matchup for any version of Wlad. That should be very clear to anyone who has followed this sport and studied both guys' careers.
