Agreed. It's sad isn't it, I can't believe Fury has convinced some people in this short space of time that he is the man for the job. I'm a Fury fan but I don't think the guy even wants the fight, especially in 2015, he's just talking a brilliant game. He might have the size but he doesn't have the power or chin to win this fight atm. Expect him to try and get back in with the WBC whilst taking another soft touch and then claim Wlad is ducking him, which of course the UK casual fans and Wlad haters will believe and start spouting on these forums every week.
LOL you little weasel. Wlad beat: Jefferson 6"6 Austin 6"6 2x Thompson 6"5 Wach 6"8 These 5 fights alone are better than Tyson Furys entire record.
No no he ain't a saviour. But At least Fury-Wlad would be a fight. That is what we want to see. Still, Wlad would be a clear favourite in my book
Fat Caravan Fury is petrified of big lads!!! Browne, Wach, Ustinov.... Fury wanted to fight Adamek last year atsch
I thought team Fury said they intended to face Wlad next, after thter their upcoming fights? Of course Wlad will get blamed if/when team Fury looks elsewhere.
Weren't you the f*ggot that used to s*ck Toney's d*ck and say he deserved a shot at the Klitschkos a few years ago? I see you're still as ret*rded as you were back then :hi:
Fight makes sense to me: The cons are ... I would have preferred for Jennings to have had a bit more time and experience under his belt especially against tall Hws and there are some fights that could be made along those lines ... Jennings may have done better aiming at the St/Wild. winner. Pros are ... Jennings is a solid vol. option, unbeaten, has some decent wins, will probably have some more decent wins in the future, is ranked pretty high and there are not too many other highly ranked new opponent options anyway, a game opponent who isn't expected to win but could be difficult with his long reach and not someone that Wlad would take lightly ... he's American, fits in well with the WBC/HBO equations ... it's a very good payday for Jennings and a title shot and in the end an experience that could pay off even if he does OK but doesn't win ... and lastly, at least Wlad is keeping active (unlike some) and the fight has just been negotiated pretty quickly and easily without the prolonged drama of a Haye fight for example.
Said earlier in the thread that Jennings is poor but I suppose he has earned his shot, doesn't change the fact that Wlad simply has the edge in every single department.....and its a big edge! Fury isn't as good as his fans make out but not as bad as some of his critics say either, against Chisora we saw a more disciplined Fury but still too green to face Wlad....may actually play into Fury's hands that Wlad takes Jennings in April and maybe Stiv/Wilder in August or Sept....that would give Fury the Hammer fight and he'l possibly go again in the summer and again in the final third. His stock will rise which is a win win for all of boxing
Wlad will continue to dominate unless he hangs around too long and suddenly gets old overnight. It has happened to many greats of the past.
Wladdy was probably lining up Briggs as a future opponent. But those plans changed when Wald signed the HBO deal and HBO turned down Briggs as a potential opponent. Therefore Briggs hasn't been seen or heard from for the past couple months.
