He's been looking pretty lively ever since the Fury rematch promotional campaign kicked off. I sense that the time off has done him some good in terms of motivation... and Fury probably did too.

If Joshua does fight someone of the caliber that Hearn is making out like they want for his next fight then anyone who claims they are cherrypicking are clueless haters. I will tip my hat if they do, and will be an unashamedly big fan if he carries on his path of destruction against this kind of level of competition - as anyone should. A win at this level would in my mind make it clear he really is a legit champion and one of the most exciting HW champions in AGES.

There's nothing wrong with AJ taking this fight. Even if it is too soon. So what if he loses? All that will happen is his management will admit they took an opportunistically easy World title and that AJ was still green. He will fight a couple top 15-30 fighters and bounce right back to a hyped up world title fight. If he wins then people can stop complaining about his resume. Who cares if he has a loss to Wladimir Klitschko in his 18th pro fight.

A battle of the shot vs the hypejob.

I kid, as Joshua is winning me over with his consistent fight schedule and (slow) increase in challenge over time.

I think Wlad would've mopped the floor with Joshua just a few years ago, but at Wlad's age, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Joshua win. I might even favor him.

Wladimir clinging to Joshua for 12 rounds, in my head it's a depressing fight, if Wladimir didn't want mix it with Fury he certainly won't want to mix it with Joshua.

I'd rather see Joshua Vs Parker, both young, unbeaten and punch hard, good fight.

I think people are underestimating Joshua here, the same way they were with Fury. Joshua is more agile, athletic, quicker has more power and is in better shape than Fury can ever dream of. Wlad is older and coming off the biggest stretch of inactivity in his whole career I believe.

He wasn't able to pull the trigger against an on the move Fury, and I can see the same thing happening here. This may be an even tougher fight than Fury imo. If Joshua pulls through, this no doubt trumps the claims he's a hype job. Make it happen!

I know why Vlad lost to Fury and I am certain that Vlad would have knocked Fury out, thus Fury backing out of the rematch two times in a row. Vlad is very familiar with Joshua from sparring him a lot, Vlad is still way too good for Joshua and Joshua's chin would not hold up, much less his stamina. Experience would be the huge factor here.................Vlad by knockout!!!!!!!

AJ hits harder for sure, but Fury has significantly better movement (lateral and upper body), an edge in handspeed, and there's a huge disparity in conditioning. Dont get fooled by the difference in abs; as far as boxing shape goes, its not close.

Nobody really knows at what form Wlad currently is. He looks motivated but he would be coming from the biggest layoff if his career, after a defeat where he clearly showed his age.

He still has power, intelligence and experience, but I don't know how well that fares against young, hungry and physically prime AJ.

Tough one to predict, would love to see it. AJ definitely cannot hope to walk through Wlad's punches, but he has huge power of his own.

Let's hope that the WBA/IBF make it happen.

Wladimir was going to knock Fury out within 2 rounds to make a statement but now he's going to have an easier time with Joshua.

It's a big risk throwing in Joshua against Wlad right now, even an old Wlad. This is a big, big step up in class. People criticise Joshua for being coddled but this will only be his 18th fight with only 3 years as a pro. And while he they have taken a very measured approach to his development he has been looking to step up for this fight, looking to face the likes of Stiverne, Pulev, Parker and now Wlad. You can't say he isn't now taking a risk and now stepping up to fight at the top level. Should he fight Parker or Wlad you can't criticise him for lack of ambition or risk taking now.

Should this happen, I'm favouring Joshua. He's looked nearly flawless so far, he has the size, power, strength and athleticism to be a top heavyweight. Wlad is 40, he hasn't looked good since Pulev, some 2 years ago. Wlad of course has a punchers chance, he has more than enough power to KO Joshua, which is what makes this fight so exciting, both could easily KO the other.

I think the difference will be Joshua's aggression, jab and Wlad's lack of counter punching skills. Wlad likes to get off first and either step away or clinch, he doesn't trade or counter. Against Haye, even when massively dominant he couldn't pull the trigger to counter Haye, same with Fury. Fury was the one who got off first and Wlad was unable to counter again.

Joshua will use his more authoritative jab to step in range, Wlad's pawing jab may work against smaller men but against bigger men he'll get out jabbed, we saw this happen against Pulev. He beat Pulev by dancing out of range and leaping in, once again being the one to get off first. He will struggle to do that with Joshua who is a better counter puncher than Pulev and who is more agile and will be harder to catch with his height and with his higher guard compared to Pulev's more open mummy guard.

If Joshua is allowed to get off first, then Wlad loses, he can't counter and won't trade, Wlad's best chance is to find a way to get off first. If he can do that he can fight his kind of fight and can win.

It remains to be seen if they do it. But that's what they SHOULD do. No way in the world Fury should be allowed to hold a world title right now. No way in the world a guy should be allowed to pull out of a title fight because of depression, lack of motivation or whatever and still be allowed to keep his belt. It would be different if pulled out because of an injury one time but to pull out TWICE and the second time he isn't even injured physically? And then one failed drug test and the refusal to take another?

    STRIP him NOW.
