    I wrote this in another post so have copied and pasted it here;

    Why is everyone writing Wlad of after last nights fight? Wlad is 39 so he will slow down, but because of his training regime and the fact he has barely took any punishment in the last 11 years his skills will erode slowly over time like Hopkins.

    The reason why Wlad looked gun shy last night was not because of some dramatic drop in his athletic abilities, but because for the first time since the Haye fight he was in the ring with a fighter who actually used their legs. This combined with Wlad's usual cautious style is the reason Wlad fought the way he did.

    Because he cherry picked an opponent who he was meant to blow out in under 6 rounds.

    The sharpest and most agile he's ever been according to the sparring and mitt work footage.

    Because no great from Ali to Holmes survives that left hook of doom.

    Turned out a limited novice made him look bad in a close fight. 1 or 2 right hands being the only difference in every round.

    Seems like an excellent time for the Fury fight. The climatic timing works as well because they could hold it outdoors in a big stadium in late summer. In addition; The general impressions of Wlad slipping will also add to the fights intrigue. Will the old champ pass the torch to a young lion narrative.

    Jennings would have easily defeated Fury last night.

    Fury would have knocked him out. Easily.

    What do you get out of this?:huh

    Is this just entertainment and a relatively inexpensive way to pass the idle hours of each day? Or do you derive some deeper, darker sense of self indulgence?

    I have encountered others who have been just as virulent, perhaps worse but they lacked your consistency and dogged determination.
