OK, I will pick each mans best 3 wins and thats compare Bryd beat Tua,Vitali, Holyfield. Tua beat Ruiz,Rahman,Moorer. Rahman beat Lewis,Sanders, and Kali Meehan. I will let you pick Wlads 3 best, Rahman might be the one Wlad beats competition wise.
Instead of comparing their dicks...compare who would win in the ring out of those mentioned. Klit would destroy all of them (Byrd 2 times already).
He made a comment saying Wlad has the best resume of any active fighter whos under 45 and serious about being a contender, in there respective primes I would give both Rahman and Tua 50/50 chance of beating Wlad. Now however Tua is the only one I give decent a chance of beating Wlad, because of his granite chin and one punch knockout power.
im very disappointed in ya jetski! :nono seriously is this a childish retaliation that your crowing over sultan ibragimov turned out to be wrong? for someone so knowledgable you were championing a guy who could have possibly lost to austin. the same austin you admit wlad easily beat because he's that awful. goddamn, try not to be so over the top patriotic mate. golota had many chances in his careers and he ****ed up EVERYTIME! he even got hammered by mcbride in the first round.... mcbride!!!! atsch get over the jealous bull****. makes you look really childish. dont worry there will be other polish or slavic boxers on the rise. but until then enjoy what you get or **** off, you pansy-assed whiner
Given that Byrd's resume includes TWO meetings with Wlad where he lost the first by a shut-out UD and was brutally KO'd in the second, should we even be going any further? His 'win' against Vitali consisted of losing nearly every round and getting the TKO when Vitali injured his shoulder and retired near the end of the fight. His win over Evander came when Evander was 40 and shot. Evander has beaten no-one of the least significance since then. Tua's win over Rahman came by way of a wicked shot well after the bell to end round 9. It was ruled as such. Rahman had not recovered by the start of rd 10 and was stopped. He led 8 rounds to 1 at the time. Rahman's win over an unprepared Lewis was devastatingly avenged in the immediate rematch, but it's a win. Kali Meehan had NO major wins and a first round loss to Danny Williams when Hasim beat him Wlad has Brewster, and two wins over Byrd. (Calvin Brock and Sam Peter as well) On the basis of the three-best-wins idea, I think Wlad prevails in this comparison.
I can tell from this post that it really doesn't matter who he's beaten or who will EVER beat. It'll never be good enough. You'll always hate.
Ok now that you picked apart everyone elses wins thats take a look at Wlads. I give Wlad credit for his first win against a prime Bryd in 2000 I believe, the second win was against a shot Bryd who had nothing to offer at the time, not even the speed that has left him a couple years before. Wlads win over Brewster the second time is the biggest joke of all, Brewster was obviously not fully recovered from his eye surgery and 15 out the ring left him rusty as hell, and not prepared for a fight with Wlad or anyone in the top 10 that night. Wlads 3 losses are also against lower end competition, unlike Tua's and Bryds 3 losses. Bryd lost too Wlad twice and against Ike. Tua lost to Lewis,Bryd, and Ike as well. Wlads losses are against weaker opposition all by TKO, against Ross Purrity,Lamon Brewster, and Corrie Sanders.
I saw that post too, and I wondered. Flawless?? But go back and reread it. DJTECH said NOW flawless. I think he meant to say NOT flawless. If you read the whole sentence, I think it was a typo.
Wlad has fought and beat upper echelon fighters since 1999 with Schultz. Anyone who continues to bring up the Brewster fight are morons who probably also believed Lamon would win the rematch. It was a fluke. A freak. Nothing more, nothing less. Anyone would have beat Wlad at that point. He was not right and it had nothing to do with what Brewster did. Wlad is the best. Period. And no matter how many dumb threads you idiots make, it won't change the fact that he is the best in the division. Eat it.
You could be right, I was thinking why the hell is he calling me delusional when hes calling Wlad flawless.:rofl
I agree he is the best right now, but saying that anyone could of took the punishment that Brewster took, your lying to yourself. Brewster did nothing, he showed more heart than anyone in that match. Brewster took everything Wlad had and when Wlad got tired Brewster TKOd him. Watch Ali/Foreman, Ali let Foreman punch himself out and then KOd him, it takes alot heart and chin to do that wouldnt you say?
You're introducing a new criterion into resume-judging. You had stated that we should use the three best wins as a guide. Since that has failed, we're now looking at a whole different thing? Truth is, of Wlad's three losses , two came from him beating himself with adrenlin/energy/foolishness issues that he subsequently solved (Purity and Brewster) In the third, he was nailed early by one of the biggest punchers in the game. Overall, from start to finish, his resume is superior to any current heavy weight except for possibly Ruiz, and I wouldn't give the quiet man much chance in a face-off. BTW, I'm a Klitschko fan, but I think I'm quite realistic of where his overall standing is in the big picture. See:http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?p=606823#post606823
Bryd before the 2nd Wlad fight almost lost to guys like Mccline who he was knocked down by in the fight and got a contraversal draw against Golota, if that aint shot fighter I dont know what is. Thats have a thread and see how many posters think Brewster was the same fighter that fought Wlad in april of 04, Im pretty most will disagree with you on that. If I was a boxer I would much rather have wins over Vitali, Tua, and Holyfield opposed to Wlads biggest wins against Peter, Brewster, and Bryd. We agree Wlad is the best right now, but his resume is nothing special IMO.
:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl Might be the worst comeback in ESB's history. C'mon man, get Wlad's picture off your lips for a second and come up with something better. Please, we're beggin' ya. :yep
The truth of these things is int he middle. Wladdy ahs worked hard to imporve and negate his weaknesses. He is reasdy for some tougher fights. That being said, the fights just aren't out there. His competition, through no real fault of his own, has been awful. If he beats Povetkin and goes on to unify with Chag, that would be an excellent jump up.
