I would like to pick some of your more knowledagble brains.

I note that Klitchko is not in the top 10 rankings and i have only seen hime fight against Thompson, but i would like to know your views on how far away from the top 10 he is and/or who he needs to beat to get in there.

Also out of the current top 10 heavyweights who do you think he would lose to??

    Thanks

for me wlad sits between the 18-22 mark, he isn't really p4p material considering his huge physical advantages over just about everyone, look how fought against ibrgaimov and a very poor thompson he simply was not as good as he should have been and i honestly can't see it changing as the talent base simply isn't there at HW, i don't feel he can ever get into the top10,just for me of course because p4p he simply isn't good enough!

    I think , imo , he's 3-4 fights away.

Not saying he would lose these fights , but they should be tougher then the Thompson fight and answer more questions. The state of the division holds him back.

    Sam Peter
    Valuev
    Haye
    Golota

i have Wlad at 9. 1 behind Kessler and 1 ahead of Hopkins.

In the holyfield / whitaker era, Wlad would not have made top10 at all.

I cant think of any heavyweight today that can beat him. Many in the near future, Peter, Arreola or maybe even Haye...maybe.

I have Wlad Klitschko ranked at #14.. Possible losses could be to Sam Peter or Nikolai Valuev..

He's doesn't make my 15. But he's not too far off. Around 18 or so. I think Haye can beat him, not saying he will, but can. Povetkin has a small chance. Possibly Chagaev, possibly Gomez. He would be favourite against them all however and rightly so.

If he beats Povetkin, I easily see him reaching the #10 spot in the P4P rankings. Then if Peter would beat Vitali and Wlad beats Peter again in a rematch, that would modt likely secure his spot at #6 or #5 as far as I'm concerned !

He's probably hovering just outside the top 10. He's beaten pretty solid competition since 2005, if there was someone impressive out there for him to beat he'd be in. If Hopkins who's lost 3 out of 5 and Cotto who just got ko'd are in there, Wlad has a good argument.

these p4p lists have always been for fun and there is no strict criteria for them.

but is wlad top 10 p4p and should he be on the criteria used to rate other top 10 p4p fighters always mentioned.

    of course he should be.

he has a 4 to 5 inch height advantage over most of his competitors
he has the best and fastest jab in the division.
    has light feet/fast hands/great power/great win to loss ration/longevity/faced many top 10 opponents .
has fought on the road .

in what other division is the recognised best fighter of the division with good skills and great power demoted so low despite facing and beating so many undefeated fighters and contenders.

he is the heavyweight version of tommy hearns and hearns was always ranked despite being chinny and vunerable just as he was fast and powerfull.
