I was responding to your comment of "it's highly unlikely Haye will land a big shot on Vlad or KO him? How can you possibly have come to that conclusion when Vladimir has already been chinned by, possibly, less powerful opponents? I would say it's highly unlikely that Amir Khan could land a big punch on Vladimir. I'd say Haye has a more than decent chance of hitting Vlad with a power shot at some point. Your reading too much into Vladimir's jab. Yes, it's a good weapon, but with Haye he will be up against a different animal. Haye will bring it and will look for the early KO. Who's to say he doesnt get the first big punch in?
Haye has a puncher's chance, he has plenty enough speed and power to KO Wladimir Klitschko. But Haye's fragile himself. I wonder if he can even take a Klitschko jab without being KO'd.
Haye is supseptible to temple shots which can occur in boxers that are either weight drained or dehydrated. Im not claiming Haye has an iron chin but i doubt its glass.:smoke
If he does get the first big hit he can win. Wlad chin is very suspect. I just think it highly unlikely he will manage to land that big shot before Wlad. I honestly don't think I am overrating his jab. He has perfected it and it's incredibly difficult to find a way to counter act it. It makes many of his victims look like they weren't even trying to win against him but in reality they just had no idea how to negate the jab. I also expect him to be even more cautious against Haye because he knows well Haye can hurt him if given the chance.
This content is protected oooooo handbags!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why do you 'HATE' David Haye. Some fighters i like more than others but hate no, have a little respect for every fighter. mind you, PBF is very hard not to hate but you gotta respect him.
I respect what he can do in the ring. He is a good offensive fighter. It is everything else about him is completely classless. The way he insults opponents, general bull**** fake "attitude" he has. The fact after all his thrash talk with the Klit's he ran away with his tail between his legs. I find his back "injury" extremely convenient as they are well known to be the injury of choice when faking an injury. I'll tolerate idiotic thrash talkers if they walk the walk. Haye hasn't so I dislike him. I don't want to have a long winded boring argument btw. I gave my opinion, if you like him that's your prerogative and I respect that.
look at it this way... do you think david haye would still be mentioned with the klitschkos or more to the point, do you think he would still be talked about by the klitschkos if he wasnt such a bigmouth? its the floyd mayweather effect... noise gets you recognised faster than skills do, sometimes for the wrong reasons but all publicity is good publicity!!! :deal if he hadnt trashtalked about the klitschkos so much, more people would like him but he wouldnt be as recognised or be as close to a fight with the brothers as he is now!!!
To translate your post- David Haye comes to fight, except when he doesnt! Thats basically what you just said
I think the point that the original poster is trying to make is that technically, Haye showed that night that the hit and run game is not the strongest weapon in his arsenal. Haye was able to get away from Valuev because the fella turns like the Titanic and his power punches come from Russia. His jab isnt too bad to be fair but he paws with it rather than shoots it. Haye's tactics on the night were spot on, but against an opponent that can close the gap quicker, like Wlad, those tactics will not be as effective. I'm inclined to agree (taking nothing away from Haye's victory mind, he fought exactly the right fight for me that night). But against Wlad, I cant see Haye adopting the same tactics. I'd expect him to almost use two plans which are the opposite at the same time. Attack in bursts and keep pressure on, knowing that Wlad's chin is suspect and as already mentioned, Wlad will look to attack from behind his impressive jab. I'd expect Haye to try to counter at short range and long range, but from mid range use that counter to try to launch fast flurries and catch Wlad with shots from all angles. It's **** or bust that for me because there's a chance he gets caught going in, but he wont win a points decision against Wlad the same way he did against Valuev.
Exactly, Haye has made waves in the heavyweight division - because he's trash talked. It's excellent. I don't believ Haye is really like that but he's an expert at keeping himself in the headlines and more importantly riling his opponents. If Haye was just a nice character who never said anything bad about an opponent then we wouldn't be having these debates about who will beat who etc. Haye, like him or loathe him is excellent at promoting himself and the fights he's involved in.
