You are taking the **** if you rank Joshua at this time in this era as equal to prime Lewis in his era. The level of current competition in the HW's is dire and you spouting about Wlad finishing his career getting beaten by a second rate fat man and a youngster as a good thing.

Was Wlad "aged" when he put in that stinkfest against Fury? Perhaps Lewis was aged when he met VK yet still managed to get the win and produce a fight you are talking about today. Going out at the right time, the old lion on top with a great victory over the up and coming lion that goes on to inherit your crown - that's how you successfully put a end to a long career.

 

I absolutely rate current Joshua as high as prime Lewis. I doubt Joshua would struggle with Mercer or Mavrovic. And I also got him stopping any man that Riddick Bowe can stop.

And if you think Lewis was old and fat when barely 38 in 03 then WK at 40 and way more fights on the clock was certainly aged vs Fury. And no, Lewis walked away from a promised and ordered rematch day before stripping. Hence why the guy he beat with dark arts (who retired a year later for four years and then boxed unbeaten to age 40) is the eternal champ.

Prime Lewis was smashed with one clip by a nobody in McCall and went life and death with Mercer (a dude coming off a loss and a draw to journeyman Marion Wilson) and also Bob Mavrovic the Zagreb grocer. And he was almost blitzed by Briggs. He also did next to zero vs Tua. I say Joshua right now is as good - if not better.
