They're both similar fighters, Wladimir had slightly more punching power and was faster than Lennox Lewis, both
had a very good jab, great ring iq and both aren't known for great inside fighting, Lennox Lewis had slightly better punch variety though.

It would be a genuine 50-50 fight, Lennox Lewis wasn't considerably better than Wlad Klitschko.

Lewis by decisive KO preceded by a one sided 4 round shut out where Wlad is in reverse looking for cover.

Lewis was bigger, hit harder, had more ring craft, better footwork, threw more combinations and finished his opponents with more spite.

Fully movitated Lewis would have Wlad out of there by 7 rounds. Just too good for Wlad on the inside, and that's where the fight would be decided. Similar to how Joshua beat him up. But it would be 10 times worse.

Both had questionable whiskers and a big punch -- so to me, it's a case of whoever lands first on the other's suspect chin.

You make it sound it could be Wilder aswell. Like both of them was a chin and a punch...

Both pretty similar sizewise. Advantage to Wlad because of BF%. He's faster and stronger P4P.

It's a shame the fight never took place...

    Shame on Lewis.

It's about styles and Wlad's textbook right may be the difference. Both Rahman and McCall finished Lewis with that punch.
Wlad lost to purity and Brewster on conditioning and Sanders was an aggressive southpaw.
Lewis doesn't fight at the pace to tire Wlad. Wlad would keep his distance and use his superior handspeed. Inside he would have to tie up wait for the break and re-set.
It's a close Match either way.

Lewis fought a prime Rahman. Wlad beat up on an old Rahman.

And Lewis only lost against Rahman because he got cocky. He destroyed him in the rematch.

They are both far better than McCall and Rahman.

'Prime' Rahman was iced twice by Oleg Maskaev. What was Lewis's excuse again? Glass chin? And why did he deserve a rematch? Vitali didn't get one, did he.

What was his excuse in the rematch or Joe Louis`s excuse when he was knocked out by Schmeling?

Lewis 'fans' know deep down why he didn't take that Vitali rematch. He felt what he was up against during that first fight and decided to ignore pretty much the vast majority of the public who wanted the rematch.

And back to the subject of Wlad v.s Lewis... wonder why Lennox felt the need to call up Corrie Sanders the night before he fought Wlad and urge him to go into attack mode.:thinking: I mean if Wlad was such "easy work" for Old 'Let's Just Retire' Lewis why did he phone a guy up who he had never been buddies with and give him his coaches observations??
