When I think about some of Holmes opponents, Ali's, Frazier's, Foremans, etc., this era is looking good. Still more good heavyweights will be coming out of Eastern Europe, they are good ones too. Also other divisions as well.

That you mention tiny Liston (6'0''+) and tiny featherfist Frazier (5'11''+) as that era's greats shows actually how WEAK that era was.

Frazier's has KOed 10 opponents (of 20) in his heavyweight career (of which 4 were bums). He faced only 15 _different_ oppponents in his 200+ career.

Liston managed to KO only 2 non-bummy natural heavies in his entire career. All other wins were below 200 or against bums. Sonny Liston is mainly a bum-beater.

That Frazier and Liston are considered great is pure ignorance. Just like it's even a greater ignorance to consider Marciano as great. These pasttime boxers are completely overrated. At least as "heavyweight boxers". As cruiser Marciano was OK.

Klitschkos are fight the best heavyweights out there today, cleaning out the division. If Vitali had not had the injuries, the division would have been completely cleaned out by now.
