Quarry was absolute hell for big men. I'm not saying he would win, but it would be a fascinating style match up.
Wlad already dropped a few losses to some fat guys not exactly in the best shape. Those guys in the 70's would crush him.
Will never know because the Soviets wern't allowed 2 fight over here. U don't think there would have been some champions from those countries?!
How'd I know that the detail would get more interest than the point? Besides, black or not, Latin players weren't around in Babe Ruth's day to **** his numbers up, either. The only other alternative was black american players. The main point is there aren't enough black americans playing baseball today, specifically pitching, to say that Ruth's numbers would've been markedly worse had they been allowed to play back then. If there aren't many black pitchers today, can one really say that there would've been stockpiles of them back in Ruth's day that could shut him down? I don't think so, and that's why I don't get why people would question his numbers. Apologies to the rest of the board for going off topic.
Frazier had a questionable chin and he was small- easily pushed around by the 220 "BigGeorge". "Big Wlad" is 25 lbs heavier. Wlad keeps Joe's left at bay--much like Brewster-- then unloads.
