Byrd was a very good heavyweight and when you suffer an injury of the nature of Vitalis , it was far more sensible to come back and fight another day rather than risk your health.. Vitali proved how great he is over time really, i am not a fan of his , but i have to applaud his longevity , having just regained the title years after such a disaster......

Wlad since his losses to Purity and Sanders has shown how you can get back up and maintain your composure against hard punchers like Peter , extend Ibragimov and obliterate Brock, Byrd,Austin and Thompson by being a whole lot aware of his limitations..

Vitalia had three more rounds to go with a SHOULDER injury and cried no mas. Roy Jones and many others have fought with broken hands and never pulled out. Vitalia was a big ***** who couldn't work through 9 more minutes against a midget with powderpuff punches.

Conclusion : A klitschko fan should never, ever be in a position to criticize Roy Jones' stoppages.

Rico, is that you under one of your 76 thousand usernames? You've been strangely silent all of a sudden.

Seriously now, people who diss Vitali about quitting are either ignorant, or just plain stupid.

I suffered a rotator cuff injury in the past. And believe me, it hurts.

Not only is Johnson not 'feather fisted' (he's no Julian Jackson but he's no Billy Dib as you seem to think) Johnson hit Roy high on the head.....nothing to do with his chin.

Tarver caught him with a beautiful shot. Roy is no Amir Khan/Wladimir Klitschko.

Vitali does indeed have an iron jaw. He was completely ****ed when Lewis hit him with that uppercut, but hung on for a few seconds then his head was clear. He was also a tough ******* for wanting to carry on with that cut, so it's clear to me that the Byrd fight (which he was WINNING) was down to a legitimate injury.

Wladimir's chin isn't terrible, it's not the greatest but when have we ever saw him get KO'd cold? Never.

Grasping at straws to cry about Klitschko's chin. His Chin is excellent in fact. He gets up every time before 9. Were it not he'd not be where is today, as the ruling dominant king/emperor/dictator/master of the HWT domain. And the best is yet to come.

Obviously his chin isn't good enough to avoid being stopped 3 times, and down numerous others.

    China chin.

And I can think of no greater disgrace than a fighter quitting on his stool, as far as Vitali goes. Arthur Abraham fought an entire fight with a broken jaw. THAT is an iron chin.

You are wrong about Tarver. Jones was up by the nine count but the ref waved it off. He certainly looked better than Wlad did after Brewster.

Not true, Jones failed to rise within ten seconds (watch the clock at the bottom of the screen). Nady just waved his arms in place of counting "ten".

And no, he didn't look better than Wlad did after Brewster. Wlad beat the count and was able to walk without stumbling face first into the ropes.
