no son, there is something worng with your thought process. Jones may have gotten up by 9 but it was long waved off. Many a ringsied thought Johnson actually killed him, with ONE punch. you need some serious therapy if you think jones' chin is better than Kilts....atsch

 

Jones was hurt very badly against Johnson. There was some concern he may not get up at all when he started to convulse on the mat. I have never seen Wald hurt that bad but I do consider him frail in comparison to his peers. Jones also has a soft chin. Both these guys especially Jones are tremendous boxers. So they do very well with the tools they were given.

 

Actually, Vlad has never been knocked out, he was on his feet, a TKO. Brewster fight he was drugged. Lewis was knockout out, so was Rahman, Roy Jones was knocked out cold, Vlad has never been knocked out, check it out.

 

yeah he does have a glass jaw...but at the same time, when you fighting someone who weighs 220-250lbs it doesn't take much of punch to hurt a fighter

 

Exactly. A heavyweight fighter getting hurt by a big punch is normal, not the other way around. If it was the other way around, then basically 85-90% of heavyweights would be described as "glass-jawed".

Only an absolute idiot would say Wlad's chin is glass.

It is even an average chin? No, but Wlad's canvas problems were much more than his chin. It had more to do with his footwork, balance, stamina, defense, etc...

This is obvious by the fact that the dude always gets up. And he has been tagged with some absolute bombs.

 

Wlads chin should be slightly upgraded, due to the fact that he hasnt tasted the canvas since fighting Sam Peter in September of 05, where he met the canvas 3 times and had handful of panic attacks, as well as using excessive clinching and superior boxing ability to win him the tough match.

I feel Wlad still does have a very weak chin, but because of his stellar jab and top notch trainer Emanuel Steward, the man rarely even gets hit solid, and when he does, he always finds away to clinch his oppenent immediately after, so no further punches can be thrown.

As far as who has the better chin, it's really tough to say, while Jones has been knocked out twice by pretty good oppenents, Wlad has suffered his 3 knockouts against Journeymen, as well being knocked down 11 times total, and has been rocked or forced to clinch by punches that shouldnt bother most Heavyweights. Overall RJJ probably has the better chin, though I can see an arguement for either man, either way.

As with Golotta Wlad has only been dropped by BIG hitters,therefore I conclude that all and everyone that are knocked down or out by KO punchers have glass chins!

 

:rofl You klit huggers are something else, Wlad got KTFO in his prime by a club fighter, a 38 yr old golfer, and a limited juorneymen who was beaten by Etiene. While RJJ is a top 15-20 ATG who is the only man ever to be MW, LHW, and HW champ.
