If he said **** off that doesn't mean he'd have anything to hide either, just a 'I won't be dictated to by you' statement.

Just read an aticle on the scene where the Klitschko's said that Wladimir will take the tests but only if they are ordered by the local boxing federation in either Germany or Russia.

    pretty reasonable.

Only logical. Why should he jump through hoops because Povetkin has a hunch.

That's what Vitali said. However, the quotes I gave are directly from Wladimir himself and were said after Vitali made his statement.

    exactly.

Also, Povetkin has been pretty adament in saying that he is definately NOT accusing Klitschko of being on PEDs. I think he is trying to avoid stirring up a controversy, which is the right way to go about requesting additionnal drug testing.

Here was team Povetkin's statement, look at how its worded. Other fighters should take heed.

“We have gathered you today to voice one of our wishes for Team Klitschko, whom we respect cordially. Once again I want to point out that this is a wish and surely not a demand. We address the following words to the honoured master of sports and fellow Olympic super heavyweight gold medalist about the event, which is being one of the most anticipated match-ups worldwide in the recent history of boxing’s glamour division.

A hard and nervous stage of negotiations is ahead of our camps. But one question exists, which should be resolved positively for the benefit of the sport and for the future of boxing. I’m talking about the centralized and effective system of anti-doping tests.

This question was long discussed by the international boxing community and it’s time to draw a line and to start a new, clean page in the history of our sport without performance-enhancing drugs. And we can do it – with the support of Team Klitschko, of course. We ask Wladimir to aid us and to agree on such set of anti-doping procedures for the fight between him and Alexander, which will follow the Code of WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency). It’s time to make a leap forward and to open a new era in pugilism. I wish that idols of our youth will break up the old rules to make something new and worthy”.

I gotta say, if I were in Wlad's shoes I would accept the WADA testing.

    Team Pvetkin's statement continued here:

“I want to emphasize that we aren’t demanding anything; we are asking for partnership from Team Klitschko in resolving this difficult question. Firstly, we are challengers and Wladimir is a champion, so he has something to demand. Secondly, one can surely think that we doubt Wladimir’s cleanness and his integrity. Surely not!

That proposal was put forward in quite a respectable fashion, they clearly have their suspicions but went about the issue in a way to not disrespect the champ. I had it wrong, and was thinking it was more of a demand.

Also they are more likely to get a positive reaction from Wladimir in going about it in such a fashion then making demands like Mayweather.

I still think that it should become a standard across the board, or if not then fighters shouldnt be able to ask their opponents for it. Puts the "target" in a bad light, and casts unfair, and unwarranted suspicions about the individual.

Team Povetkin although no meaning harm, none the less surely has raised some questions in peoples minds, and portrayed Wladimir in a darker light.

Requesting WADA testing by making accusations is just a way to benefit off your opponent's name outside the ring instead of inside the ring, by bringing down his superior reputation. If you really want to implement better testing standards, then the way Povetkin went about it is the right way to do it.

Hahaha, Vlad said he has no problem with the test as long as he can be tested in Russia, Germany or Israel.
    LOL, funny stuff!
