    Wlad has retired.

Will we ever see another Ring Magazine / lineal champion who remained on top with a ten year run of being undefeated again?

Will we ever see a heavyweight champion with 50+ Ko's?

I say not for the next 20 or more years.

Next stop for Wlad Canastota, New York!

I bet that man achieves a lot more before he hits Canastota.

He might. Wlad is a sharp and charismatic man outside the ring, with a flair for humanitarian efforts.
An A+ ambassador for boxing and part time promoter.

I agree with the retirement move, even though I think he would have a decent chance at beating Joshua in the re-match. In an odd way, he raised his stock, out of the ring for 1.5 years at age 41, almost beating a guy in his absolute prime, not even 30.

Some critics used to question Wlad's chin and resolve. We saw it when tested out of his prime.

Oh come on Perry. Three KO losses in 60+ fights at heavyweight is not that bad. If it is, check many in the hall of fame heavyweights who were stopped by lesser punchers, smaller men, and with a higher frequency in terms of total fights.

    Correction . FOUR KO losses.

All to guys he was meant to beat. Save the excuses. You picked him to demolish Fury and confidentially picked him to beat Joshua.

All time great. Dominant heavyweight champion. All class outside the ring too. Incredible ambassador to the sport. All the best in retirement

A loss when your over 40 really doesn't factor into the equation much.

If Ali fought big punchers past age 38 he would have a KO a loss per year too.

I do not think any heavyweight, not Ali in his last fight, or Louis in his last fight would do as well as Wald did vs Joshua, and if both are 41, its a short night for Ali and Louis. So there you have it.

You can't seem to find a new act or improve on your old one

    FOUR KO losses.

    Excuses do not apply.

You picked Wlad to beat Joshua , did you not??

That's correct. I meant to say three halarius knockout losses along with one "normal" KO loss. His first three KO losses were record book funny. Just falling all over himself. Gives great visuality to the phrase "going down in sections".

I found him a complete bore, safety first, afraid to engage all to protect very questionable durability.

Great fighter, all around good guy. I however was a much bigger fan of Vitali though who I rate higher than Wlad.

I think Wlad will do just as well outside the ring as he did in the ring. He is a smart, educated man and whatever he chooses to do I'm sure he will do it well. I can see him being a big time promoter in Europe where there is much money to be made. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of him:coleman:

Hasim Rahman suffered stoppages in spectacular fashion.

Maskaev knocking him out of the ring
    Lewis's brutal roundhouse right
Maskaev almost knocking him out of the ring a second time

No one is trying to say Rahman was an ATG.
