Wladimir Klitschko: Thank you for your attention, everyone, and go ahead with your questions!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tony: After you destroy Thompson, who is next? I'd like to see Valuev and Povetkin fight for the WBA belt and you fight that winner.

Wladimir Klitschko: I have obligations in different versions. I have an obligation to fight Thompson because he is No. 1 for WBO. I don't want to talk about the future beyond Thompson, because he is my future on Saturday night.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fan/USA: What was your training like in Austria? Is this your favorite camp?

Wladimir Klitschko: This is my favorite camp. I like the Alps, the air, the water, the people, the service, everything. I've been working out there a few times before, so everyone knows what I need and I know what to expect. I really like this training camp. Besides me, my team members and sparring partners love it. It's all good.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nate, NC: How has having Steward as your trainer impacted your fight preparations and in-fight performance versus earlier in your career?

Wladimir Klitschko: From time to time, we are knowing one another even better. We have been working together for four years, and when I had a failure for years ago, he believed in me as a person and as an athlete. I'm pretty thankful to him for it. We're having fun working with each other. Emmanuel Steward is a genius in boxing, and I enjoy working with him.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
joe: what about thompson are you most concerned about?

Wladimir Klitschko: Thompson is a fighter who hasn't lost in eight years. He's dominant in the ring. He likes to set the pace and control the race. He is very confident in what he does. He does have weak sides which I don't want to mention here, so you'd better watch the fight live to see!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny (Dallas,Texas): Hey Klitsch, how do you keep yourself motivated while in training for a fight? Does it become a beating at times to have to train every day or every other day? Thanks and good luck this weekend.

Wladimir Klitschko: Thank you. I never enjoyed boxing as much as I do right now. It's love. Why? I'm thankful to the experience I've got in twelve years in this sport. I really know what to do in the ring, like I've never known before. I've heard that the best time for the heavyweights is your early 30s, and I really feel this way. I feel I'm entering into my prime. That's why the experience and the knowledge let me enjoy the business.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Robbie (Shreveport, LA): Do you incorporate much weight training into your routine?

Wladimir Klitschko: I do weightlifting at the beginning, but just a little bit to keep my muscles in shape.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rob, VA: In all professional fights, not including your loses. Who gave you the most trouble, as far as their boxing ability?

Wladimir Klitschko: I'm expecting my toughest fight in the future, and I'm always preparing for it. My toughest opponent is myself. When I face myself, it's going to be very difficult to fight, because I think one of us is going to lose. I'm expecting it with any opponent.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chris (Appleton, WI): Are you planning to dominate Saturday, or are you planning to box your way to a decision like you did against Ibragimov?

Wladimir Klitschko: Out of fifty fights, I've finished forty-four early. This is my goal, to win the fight as soon as possible and as impressively as possible. That's why I keep knocking people out as soon as they can. Everyone has a plan until they get hit.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nino (Vienna): Hi Wlad, I was wondering if you go for speed or power this time. Are you in your 230s, which would indicate speed, or are you in your 240s again, which means more power?

Wladimir Klitschko: Tomorrow I will have a weigh-in, and I will be over 240. I made my weight heavier than with my latest fight, because my opponent is bigger.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
USA: When do you plan on fighting in the states again?

Wladimir Klitschko: As it was in the history of my fights, I do one fight in Europe, then one in the U.S. I'll be in the States by the end of the year. As the world champion, you have to fight around the world.

Wladimir Klitschko: Thanks for all the questions and the interest, and enjoy the fight on HBO this Saturday night! Hope you stay healthy and wealthy!

    Class act.

I love the answer to the "box your way" to the decision. However, he should have said "listen dumbasses, I knock mother****ers out 88% of the time, ****, I had a bad fight!!!"

I've got the feeling this statement contradicts the rumored "Klitschko double bill" in Berlin on October 4

Dude, Wladimir is much smarter than you. He'd embarrass you in 3 or 4 languages and virtually kick your ass without throwing a punch.

    :rofl

To virtually shut out an undefeated beltholder for unification is hardly anything to be ashamed of but Klitschko fans have been spoiled by seeing a large percentage of KO's................

Its good to hear him say he's gonna take Thompson out as early and as impressively as he can.

THAT is what we are looking for.

That's exactly what I was gonna say.

It just goes to show how much people expect of him, when a mere decision win over an undefeated titleholder is veiwed as a disappointment, of sorts.

They holds this guy to a much higher standard than they do the rest of the divsion. Its not really fair to criticize the guy for merely beating Ibrag by UD, but it is also a good illustration of just how good everyone knows Wladimir really is, and what they think he can do.....as he did to Brock, Austin, Byrd, etc...... Dramatic and powerful KOs. :good

Anything less is now a letdown. People expect to see someone fall to the canvas like a sack of ****, as Austin did. He has set a precedence for himself, now. He's raise his own bar to where he's gotta keep taking guys OUT, or else he'll be raked over the coals for not giving them what they want.

This kind of high expectation comes with being what everyone considers the most dominant heavy who has what is probably the heaviest hands in the divsion.

Not only can Wladimir smack the **** out of you but he'd make you look foolish if you ever asked that question.

    I'd bet the house. :smoke

It was a virtual shutout, what other HW could shut out Sultan Ibragimov? Many have tried and all the previous ones couldn't & they in fact lost, with the exception of the draw vs. Austin. WK kicked Austin's ass early.
