Wlad would win this as he was reaching the form he would be in when he defeated Byrd the first time. He wasn't as smart as he would be under Stewert but he had too much size, speed, power, and work rate for the aging Evander.

Evander didn't have the physical tools to pull a Corrie Sanders and I can't see him at this point in his career pulling a Brewster and walking through hell to tire Wlad out.

 

I think Bowe II is the best version of Holyfield. I would pick him to stop 99 Wlad.

Holyfield can score enough to win a decision. Move get in and get out. He fought like this against Lewis II.Also against Bowe II and Valuev, though that were different versions Wlad was stationary back then and unexperienced.

 

Valuev fight isn't fair to either man, Holyfield was ancient and Valuev and Wlad don't belong in the same sentence.

Lewis 2 is relevant because it's 99 Holyfield and while he had good moments, he had to fight in spurts and take minutes and rounds off.

Wlad was not stationary in 99, he was absurdly fast and mobile. Faster and more mobile then Lewis was in 99. Not a better overall fighter then Lewis, but his tools are just all wrong for the aging Evander.

Lewis had an inside game to deal with Holyfield yet he still got the body beaten off him. Why do you think he wore the battle armour in the first fight?
Holyfield was a great body hitter and that doesn't bode well for Wlad who harbours zero skills in close on top of poor stamina.
Without the uppercut and inside game he's up the creek without a paddle. The whole sides of Wlads dome are open to Holys sharp counter left hooks.
Wlad never faced nobody like that in his whole career , never mind during his first 3 years as a pro.
