I'm betting on Louis still, but Wladimir's spoiling tactics will make this a long night.

 

Ehh. I dislike Wlad more than i can articulate but he is a hard match up for a lot of former champs.

Wlad was about 6'6 245 lbs peak. Louis was 6'2 and 207 lbs for the Baer rematch. Let's assume that in a modern context with weight lifting, Louis would weigh around 212-215 lbs.

Wlad's power is tremendous with both the left hook and the right hand. Louis did not have the greatest defense nor the greatest chin. So it is not inconceivable that Louis could get stopped.

In a 15 round fight, i guess it depends on how aggressive Wlad is. If Wlad fights aggressively, i can see him winning a stoppage. But conversely, Wlad could also get stopped since he has his own fragilities and Louis is a better combination puncher than anything Wlad has seen.

Its a 50-50 fight for me. My guess is that since Louis was better than anyone Wlad faced, Wlad would fight an overly cautious fight and then get stopped late, say around round 13 or 14.
