Since Wlads defense against David Haye has bit the dust, there are several fighters out there who are eager to step in to replace Haye. One of these, and he's issued an open challenge to W,K, is John Ruiz. How do you think Ruiz would fare against Wlad? Does he deserve a title shot?

Puh-leez!! :rofl This fight is no more competitive than the Austin or Thompson fights. That cheater would either lose a wide decision, or get knocked the **** out.

As much as I'd like to see it, it would be a horrible fight to make. Ruiz is a disgrace to the division!

I really don't think Ruiz has a snowball's chance in hell to get this fight, but more unlikely matchups have been made, and someone, one of the powers that be may decide that Ruiz "deserves" his final "grab" (appropriate word for Ruiz) for glory. I think Wlad would fight conservatively for 7, 8 rounds, then hurt Ruiz, really pour it on and have him down before the ref stops it...tko 9 or 10.

I don't think this fight has a snowball's chance in hell of getting made. Can you imagine the sort of heat Wlad for take for taking on this kind of opponent. No, it's far more likely that they fight someone deserving.

Ruiz is so bad HBO has said they will never televise one of his fights again.

ruiz has more of a claim to a title shot than gaye ever did. close fights against top 5 heavyweights is much better than beating...enzo? enzo sucks admit it already.

Larry Merchant would have a heart attack if he saw John Ruiz again.

I don't think Ruiz wants this fight because he has a great shot of fighting Valuev. Why take the risk of Wald putting him to sleep when a fight with Valuev can put most of boxing fans to sleep?

This fight will have the master fighting the apprentice. Ruiz will be shocked as he closes the distance only to be excessively held by Klitschko!

    Wlad's a horrible style match-up for Ruiz.

    Not that this'll happen anyway.
