The problem with the Klitschko argument that many have used, which is that if you look at the very best Klitschko, he'd do better than Lewis did, is that it's an unfair comparison to Lewis, who you are judging throughout the different stages of his career.

Sure, you can say Wlad, right now, would beat every fighter Lewis ever fought and whilst I don't agree, it's close. However, Lewis at his absolute peak wouldn't have struggled against Mercer, would have lost against Rahman and McCall and would have destroyed Vitali and thoroughly outboxed Holyfield. That's Lewis at his absolute peak, so the only fair way to do it, is to judge how the fighter would do at the different stages of his career.

Like I said, green Wlad losest to several fighters he should beat, probably including Bruno and Ruddock. Later on, he'd do better, sure, but I think at the end of his career, he'd have about 6 losses to his name.

Now, if you put Lewis in Wlad's shoes, I think anyone disagreeing he'd have ever lost doesn't know much about Lewis. Green Lewis doesn't lose to Purrity and and he'd knock Sanders and Brewster out with few problems. I can't see Lewis getting put down by guys like Peter either.

fair post. EVEN if you're in the mindset (like myself) that lewis lost to mercer he cleaned out the 90s, early 2000s heavies which is one of the greatest eras in heavy history. wlad may develop a tremendous legacy, but he aint anywhere near yet

You never know what would have happened. Wlad was supposed to beat Purrity, Sander and Brewster. Lewis was supposed to beat McCall and Rahman. They failed for whatever reason. You don't know how they would have fared against each other opponents and nobody does.

If you want to compare resumes compare longevity of reign, number of defenses and dominance shown over fighters they faced. I think Wlad surpassed Lewis in all of these departments already.

That guy is one of the funniest ******s I have ever seen on this forum. I know people say they 'laughed' at a post when criticising it, but I actually did laugh at his post. It was atrocious.
