3) Have you no idea how many athletes are on roids that never tested positive? Simply because one has never tested positive doesn't mean they're not using. Haven't you been watching the news lately?

My first thought is, Sultan gets his head taken off.. Yeah, hes good(i guess.....), but the only weakness Wlad really has is a weak beard.. Sultan isnt exactly a power puncher...

I'm surprised people haven't responded to this post. You're absolutely right Dorfmeister. Tony Thompson is on deck and that's gonna be a tough obstacle to get around. A fight with Chagaev would seem more feasible considering that he has no mandatory obligations at the moment.

Thompson will pull a Clubber Lang and show up at every function that Sultan appears at to remind him of who his mandatory is.

Yea but Ibragimov is missing something Sanders had. Which is real balls to walk through serious punishment.

Plus a few inches in height. Ray Austin got floored because he is slow and backed straight up with his guard loose. Ibragimov had nil respect for him, so he went balls out and tagged him right on the chin.

The only way Ibragimov wins this is by getting low, taking some punches to get in and unloading that short straight left often and fast. When Waldo tries to grab, put a left right to the sternum.

He could do it but I'm really not sure it's in his character. He's always seemed like a guy to me who cares more about surviving than winning.

 

Thompson supposedly is Ibrag's mandatory, I think we all knew that, but what we are not sure of is how long does Ibrag have to fight him?

I thought he had plenty of time to get in another fight, first, like a unification fight with Wladimir.

 

Since Austin knocked him down he has been a different fighter, hes not really agressive anymore and it seems to me he rather sit back and box than really take the fight to anyone.

Wlad would destroy Iggy, thats the main reason I dont want to see it happen. I want to see Wlad in competitive fight with a Chagaev or a Valuev, both can possibly give him trouble in the ring.

 

I doubt it. Thompson wasn't too thrilled about Holyfield getting the fight before him. If Sultan gets another fight other than Thompson you gotta imagine tony would take this all the way to court if he has to.

 

If it's scheduled for february I can't see why not. Usually mandatories only happen once per year. He dethroned Briggs in June. Plenty of time to take a february bout and then go back into training for Thompson. (if of course he beats Klitschko).

 

Iggy should stay away from Wlad, he has no chance whats so ever of beating him. I think Iggy knows that and he will probably fight Golota or another half a somebody like hes been doing.

 

That's what I was thinking. If he only got his title in June, he'd have plenty of time to fight in February, and still be able to prepare for a summer Thompson fight.

As you said, Sultan has one year from June 2006 to fullfil that Thompson/mandatory obligation, as I understand it.......:good
