Yeah, why wouldn't he die in the ring? You wanna see him die in a hospital with some kidney problem or some old man desease? Commander Vander is a throwback, there's no one left since Lennox is confortable no one cares where. Let Vander throw that left hook now that his shoulder is okay and see what happens to Wladimir. To sart with, half of the crowd wherever is with Evander...

After 6 years and 12 defenses, he has nothing to prove.

He won't be ranked as high as Larry Holmes because he has embarrasing loses while near his prime, but still: Wlad can be ranked pretty high.

David Price after he hopefully puts Harrison into a permament retirement (actually knocks him out in an old people's home). Price to go on and beat Fury, then Helenius, then fight Wlad.

It's tough. There isn't anyone out there right now other than Vitali who would give his resume a significant boost. If he's able to target top prospects like Pulev, Fury, Price, etc. rather than future gatekeepers like Charr, it's a start. That said, unless he goes another two or three years undefeated, I don't see him moving up much if at all on the all-time lists.

Just keep fighting. Arreola probably gets the WBC belt when Vit retires, and Wlad and Arreola could square off for a unifier if Uncle Jose allows it.
Seth Mitchell, David Price in a year
    Helenius
    Chisora

He's already a top 15 atg. But the fact is not fighting the #2 guy Vitali whether it's his bro or not hurts his legacy. Holmes had a weak era, yes. But he didn't miss out on the #2 fighter in his weight. Tyson as well.

The problem for Wald Klitchko is that there is no one around who is going to beat him. There are not that many heavyweights who would beat him either. The guy who has or had the best chance to beat him is or Was Tony Thompson and we saw how that worked out.
He should unite the WBA championship by fighting Alexander Povetkin. I don't know what he should do after that. I think that Chris Arreola, Seth Mitchell and Kubrat Pulev are going to be the next top heavyweights.

I would like Wladimir to fight 4 from the following list:
    Alexander Povetkin
    Denis Boytsov
    David Price
    Kubrat Pulev
    Robert Helenius
    Seth Mitchell
    Alexander Ustinov
    Bryant Jennings

Fight them while they are undefeated. Giving any of them their first loss will be quite an achievement. I personally believe this list contains our future heavyweight champion(s), I am just not sure which ones.

Vitali Klitschko. No boxer should get a pass for ducking the #2 guy in their division for 5+ years. Let alone teaming up with them and claiming that they have both dominated the division. It's bull**** and any real fan of the sport knows it.

The only fight that I want to see Wlad is the rematch with David Haye , period ! The rest of them are uninteresting imo !
I think David Haye , right now can beat Vitali and Wladimir. Against Vitali would have an easier task .:yep

If ESB was around when Holmes essentially tossed his belt in the trash to fight Marvis Frazier instead of the much more deserving Greg Page (who was his mandatory), how do you think the board would respond? Given how Bowe gets ragged on for doing it against Lennox, I'd say not too kindly.

What would fans think if Wlad was gunning for a historic milestone, say, Joe Louis' defense record, and instead of picking a deserving Heavyweight challenger, he called up Chad Dawson from LHW? Because when it came time for King and Holmes to make that choice when Larry was gunning for 49-0, it wasn't Pinklon Thomas that got the call. Spinks, who never fought at HW, did.

Tyson did two things Holmes never did...not only did Mike never vacate a title for not fighting a deserving mandatory, he actually unified the belts. That's the mark of a champion.

If people want to mention Wlad not fighting Vitali as a black mark on his record, fine, but Larry Holmes is the worst example you could use to prove the point.

I already have major respect for Wlad, but am very frustated with the recent matchmaking.

As far as improving his legacy, few fighters can help Wladimir right now with the best chances coming from Helenius, Fury, Pulev, Price, Boytsov, L. Ortiz and Solis, if they continue to improve.

Names like Povetkin, Adamek, Haye, Arreola, Wach, Seth Mitchel are OK but only add to the numbers and nothing more.

Looking a little further ahead, some top names from amateur boxing and fighters who may move up represent the best chance at raising the bar, i.e.: Joshua, Camarelle, Medhzidov, Omarov, YP Hernandez, Chad Dawson.

Need to beat.... no one really.

Who would add to the resume?

Povetkin, Solis, Cunningham, Haye II, Pulev.

Down the road it's harder to see....Fury, Boystov, and Price could be good names if they continue to add to their own resumes prior to fighting Wlad.

I don't know why K2 didn't insist on getting Holyfield into the ring while they were younger. Looking back, Wlad could have even offered the shot to Holy after Holy beat Valuev. He would have eaten alot of **** for it tho.
