Let me help you out there Chico................

Tyson's most comparable opponent to Wladimir was Lennox & LL beat his ass. Yes Tyson wasn't in his prime but I maintain that LL beats a prime Tyson.

Lennox & Wladimir have more in common style, speed & size-wise than they have differences, if we can't agree on that then there's no reasoning with you.

    This thread is just sad.

Tyrell Biggs was close to the same height as Wlad but more fluid, athletic and quicker. He didn't give Tyson any trouble.

    Tyson is listed at 5'10". I met him & he's shorter than I am, I'm 6'0"

BTW, this in no way means that I rank Wladimir higher all time than I do Iron Mike. Tyson was the youngest HW champion & he was unified. Wladimir's story is yet to be fully written though.................

It's quite obvious that Wlad at 32 years old would've beaten Tyson when he was around 15-16 years old so yeah I guess you're right.

    This should be interesting.

Despite being 12-15 years past his best, Tyson still managed to rock Lewis pretty good in the first, and proceded to take his best for 8 rounds, perhaps giving us a glimpse of what he might have done over a decade earier, and given Klitschko's inability to take punishment, I doubt he'd recover if a peak Tyson had him in trouble. By the way, Lewis was in a league above Klitschko, so I still don't see why you're drawing this comparison.

Ah, but the difference is that Lewis proved his chin against big punchers on several occasions, where as Klitschko really didn't. I also feel that even though Wlad has compitent boxing abilities, he's still a tad below Lewis as a technician.

    Lewis
    Liston
    Louis
maybe Bowe was on a par, that is debatable (early in his career when he actually threw it)

By the way, I believe Wlad would beat Tyson. I'm not arguing that point.

I only took issue with the claims that the Corrie Sanders loss was similar to the Buster douglas loss, and the claim that Wlad's jab is the best ever.

    True,

The Tyson who fought Henry Tillman in the 1984 olympic trials would have gotten smoked by a 2008 Klitschko.

    You're ****in' nuts!

Tyrell Biggs was an over rated nothing. He was KO'd by Bowe & Lewis which isn't nearly as shameful as him being KO'd by Ray Anis, Larry Donald & Francesco Damiani. Tyrell's biggest win? Are we now trying to claim Biggs had the same or better power than Wlad? Did he have a better jab?

Mike is done, and Klitschko is the best heavyweight out there at the minute. I think if Mike did climb back into the ring he will only carry his freakish power into the ring with him... Wlad would batter him at long range .. but like each and every time WK has fallen down , he just got caught with one solid out of the blue shot............ If Mike did land in that premise he could grab a rare win, but the odds are indeed very very very slim....

I think we can also ad Carl "the truth" Williams to the list, both as having a greater jab, as well as having comparable difficulty in terms of taking powerful shots when compared to Klitschko.

This thread starter is a ******, a prime Tyson is Wlads worst nightmare. A prime, ultra aggressive, very powerful, great chin, and good overall defense, would take the fight to Wlad and make him panic and fall all over the place, Tyson would have a field day on the inside, where Wlads only defense is to hold on for dear life. If Wlad had a decent chin and handled pressure better I would give him a chance in this one, I just cant see Wlads glass chin holding up against a guy like Tyson, Sam Peter's not even close to as good as Mike Tyson on any level, and he had Wlad falling all over the place, and only lost by 3 points on all three of the judges scorecards.

We'll just agree to disagree then. :thumbsup

If you think Lewis & Wlad aren't comparable then I just don't know what to say.
