Lewis entered his prime in 94 or 95 BUT he turned Pro in 89 Wlad on the other hand lost to 2 journeymen after after 7 or 8 yrs as a pro and 40+ fights plus a win over Crisp Turd, the argument that he was green doesn't fly.
I love both pictures, they bring back so many great memories. :good Sakura- not all big men mature late in there career, Riddick Bowe was prime by 92, which put him at around 25, 26 for his fights with Holyfield.
Wlad was 20 when he won olympic gold and another ones was mostly 24 years old. Check out...last fight with Sultan was easy fight, but wlad take surely. sultan is hard dude, look at his amateur fight with Savon.
The only prime Riddick had was rib. His whole career is based off one victory against a Holyfield (the second was bogus). That and he threw his belt in the trash can. That and he got his ass whipped by Golota, etc... Bowe is an Ike. A shoulda coulda woulda but did very little.
Bowe beat a prime Holyfield, the only man to do that, unless you want to say Moorer did it in 94. The Golota fights were pretty competitive, with both men tasting the canvas. I dont know if you box or that, but getting hit the balls and being headbutted are two of the worst things to have happen to you, it takes a hell of alot out of you, besides Bowe wasnt in his prime in 96 when he fought Golota.
Bowe had some other solid wins. Undefeated contenders Hide (although Bowe looked sloppy and was rocked a couple times) and Gonzalez (Bowe looked good), solid veteran Coetzer were all respectable wins.
Yes but unlike Ike or even Vitaly Bowe was the MAN even it was a very short reign it still happened. Still I agree with you that he ducked Lewis and is a tad overrated.
