Of course, Wlad has a chin of iron, great stamina and composure, and a terrific uppercut, all key ingredients to beating a prime Tyson. Wlad is very comfortable when guys throw leather at him, he doesn't get panicky or uncomfortable at all. Especially when it's heavy-handed punchers like Sultan or young in-shape contenders like Sanders, not feather-fisted slow guys like Tyson.

    Wlad TKO 1 Tyson.

Prime Tyson KO1 and that's if Wlad doesn't bottle it on the way to the ring. I'm not joking. I'm being serious.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    This thread is sooooooooooo amazing.

Wladimir Klitschko couldn't carry a prime Tyson's cup. Wlad is SLOWWWW, lacks composure, has no ability to handle pressure or speed punching, and can be intimidated...

If Wlad made it through 3 or 4 rounds, I'd be shocked.

Tyson at his peak was as close to unbeatable as anyone ever.

Wlad doesn't like agressive inside fighters. If he took rope a dope lessons from a clear headed Ali, he may have a chance

People talk about how a prime Calzaghe took out the bums he fought, look at what Tyson did to people...

He broke noses, jaws, and ribs...multiple times...literally.

At his best, he wasn't hit. Say what you will of Michael Spinks, but when he saw Tyson across from him, there was fear in his eyes that no other champion has ever had.

Tyson dismantled contenders, former champs, and current champs. He made Larry Holmes (who incidentally fought well long after his match-up with Tyson) look like nothing more than a chinless, unskilled bum. He knocked Holmes out cold...period.

Tyson was already becoming broken before the Spinks fight. His marriage was dissolving and his mentality was fractured. The Tyson of 1986-87 was the most powerful force in the history of boxing.

Don't disrespect what he was by comparing him to Klitschko.

But has he ever beaten anyone like the hard-hitting natural HW Chris Byrd, Ray Austin, Sultan Ibragimov, or Sam Peter?

And Lamon Brewster? It only took Wlad 2 times to beat him!!

There are an amazing amount of idiots that post here. To say that Tyson was the most destructive force in the history of boxing is as about as stupid as the original comment. Tyson was quick and hit hard so do a lot of people and some people mature and become more cerebral. Tyson never did. Could A Klitschko now beat a Tyson when he was younger, maybe? Who knows? Ask yourself this and if you are really honest you may develop an insight. Could Tyson have ever beaten Holyfield or Lewis?

Actually Tyson didn't do well against anyone who fought back who had a punch remember? James Quick Tillis actually did better aginst him than he should have.

Quick and hit hard??? Tyson was lightning fast, and hit hard enough enough to knock people down with jabs. He literally put people down with the first punch he threw of the fight.

Would he have beaten Holyfield or Lewis, prime for prime? Absolutely. I don't think there's any doubt.

What I don't you get is that Tyson basically had a massive mental breakdown. Between management issues, Don King's influence, and his failing marriage, he became brutally depressed. You can't use that to weigh what he would do in a perfect world, in his prime.

The Tyson that fought Berbick, Holmes, or even Spinks would've beaten Lewis and Holyfield at their best.
