No one says Tyson can't beat Wlad but you're forgetting your history as Wlad was never KO'd so your comment carries less weight...he did lose however those were some big men Tyson was a beast but when he ran into a fighter who didn't buy into the hype he got taken off his pedistal...

you can talk about prison and cus dying and everything but once he lost that aura of invincibility he wasn't the same fighter

Trust man I'd be more than willing to bet serious money on Wlad and obviously Tyson would have more than a punchers chance but Wlads got him in so many categories

I clearly said that it was a possibility that Tyson could KO Wlad didn't I? I just don't think it's likely if we're talking about the prime versions of both fighters. Wlad has just entered his prime IMO & Tyson was in his before his stint in prison. I truly believe Holyfield would've beaten the Tyson that Douglas KO'd.

Prime for prime I think it'd be like 75-25% Wlad beats Tyson & I'm being 100% serious & honest.

I'd say that's pretty accurate...look if anyone can show me a fighter with anywhere near wlads ability that Tyson dispatched so easily I'll give up my opinion

The fact remains he was stopped by 3 journeymen in his prime. Tyson didn't start losing to journeymen until he was an old man.

Furthermore plenty of guys stood up to Tyson in his prime such as Ruddick, Bruno, Holmes, Tucker and others so your comment about him not being able to beat guys who didn't buy into his hype carries no weight at all.

Exactly. Mike didn't fight super heavies that knew how to fight back. That's a fact. I was impressed with his win over Bruno but that's as close as it gets.

Douglas was not elite at the time But he was a solid conteder who already fought for the world title, he is clearly at least 2 classes above Purrity, Brewster, and 38yr old golfer Sanders.

I'm 41 & I've been watching boxing since Ali vs. Tyson was a free show on Wide World of Sports. I've boxed myself & worked with others who knew far more than I knew at the time. I'm a fan enough to know what I see, I don't need some star-struck teeny-boppin' fruitcake to tell me what's up with boxing. :D

Tyson was a wrecking ball of a HW but he was very undersized and he needed his God-given talent to excel at the top level. He was incredibly fast & accurate with combos that packed power but he never did well against boxer/puncher's with size, in fact the best example was Lewis, & although that obviously wasn't a prime Mike I do believe Lewis would've beat any version of Tyson. I'd put those odds at around 85-15% for Lewis to win.

OK Douglas was a durable fighter with a decent punch which sounds alot like Brewster...

Purrity is Purrity Wlad shouldn't have lost the fight but he was a young guy who made the mistake of over extending himself

and you're telling me that Sanders couldn't throw a great left?

Fact: Brewster was a better HW champion than Buster was. There goes your theory right there. Sanders was on par with Douglas, in fact Sanders had more power than Buster but Buster was the better technician.
