Disagree. Wlad can do what he want to. No worries though, Povetkin was a forward mover type with a lot of heart. These are the types of fights that will get clinches.

Pulev is an out fighter, and so is Wilder. These will be clean with little clinching if they happen.

Why quit when you're getting this type of money and taking little damage?

Vitali has not said he is retired. I think he wants one more fight. He looked like he was still in shape last night.

Simply because Ali did the same thing does not make it all right.

Both Wlad and Vitali should retire. Wlad is starting to deteriorate physically, tho he did have a few nice wrinkles in his punch selection yesterday. Even tho he destroyed an unbeaten guy, his weaknesses are becoming harder to hide. A different ref could certainly make that an issue.

What Vitali is doing with his strap is just deplorable and shameful. I really liked him as a fighter but he has looked horrible his last couple outings, an old man with no flexibility and diminished power. Walk away already.

That might work for Ali, but not for Wlad. Ali had an unbelievable and very busy second part of his career, we saw what that did to him, but Wlad was facing a mediocre fighter at best and the holding started from the first minute of the fight.

What? in history? get outta here. Wlad was awful last night and nothing he did should be spoken of in a positive light. No doubt that Mike Tyson,Bowe,Lewis,Foreman would trash him easy.

    And Tyson,that's a 10 second KO.

Sure it is. Sure, Wlad is awful and everyone he fights is just worse. They are absolutely giving away belts and millions of Euros to these fakes. You should just take some time out of your day and visit your local gyms and tell the guy who is ranked 164th in the world how awful he is.

Anyone comparing Ali in any way to what Wlad was doing in the ring yesterday has no idea what they are talking about. Ali never held like what was done by Wlad yesterday...it was a complete disgrace. It was just not clinching but mauling, throwing his opponent to the canvas over and over again and the ref did nothing. Not to say his opponent would have fared much better....just another walking statue with a low skill set fighting the wrong fight plan from the opening bell. Heavyweight boxing is dead. This guy was supposedly the no 1 contender and he did not even know how to throw a left hook properly!

He was missing SO many jabs.

    Pretty unusual...

    Still a domination but worrying.

Earth to Max...Wlad has been putting opponents in constant bear hugs for many years. Its the way he has always fought since he realized he could not take a punch. What he does in no way compares to Ali.

It is exactly what Ali did, that is, an aging champion and top money earner seeing how far the ref will let him go with the rules. Exactly the same situation. And personally I think the ref should have deducted points until he was forced to engage more.

Calling Povetkin "a walking statue with a low skill set" is you proclaiming from the mountain top that you have not bothered to watch the division for the last 8 years.

his jab is quite damaging. I have not seen one like it. Short or long range, but the short ones routinely snap back the heads of everyone he fights.

If that punch was so good it would have stopped Provetkin.

Vlad had a bum in front of him there to he hit all night and he couldn't close the show.

He has the best combination of holding and leaning onto his opponent. He´s the greatest of all time in the art of destroying any kind of fight.
