You're not some christ like martyr for having a few people laugh at you on a forum. What you are is someone who apparently doesn't do terrible things for fear of everlasting consequences, not because - you know - they're awful and wrong things to do and that my friend is a very worrying thing.

 

He's not responding well to your badgering, but honestly you guys are being assholes. Your mockery and hostility toward the man shows a lack of empathy and decorum which lends some credibility to his argument that atheists are immoral. However, as a Christian he should be a tad more understanding of your foibles since all men are sinners. Now, I don't believe that either side has a monopoly on morality, but I think that neither side has proven moral superiority by their own examples here today. Christ commanded us all to love one another and atheists supposedly believe in a non-aggression principle. Let's all strive to live up to our own highest values.

I actually don't like the militant atheist standpoint. That much like our religious friend's self righteous posturing is ridiculous.

The simple answer is we just don't ****ing know. Anyone who claims otherwise is fooling themselves. The world's most famous atheist - Richard Dawkins - is actually an agnostic as he admits that he's not and can never be 100% sure.
