You also have to take into consideration he outweighs most his opponents by around 50 lbs, something he won't be able to do at welter, and that his division is absolute trash, again something that isn't in occurrence at most weights. He can keep his height, relative to weight say about 5' 11? And his reach isn't all that impressive for his height, it's just average, so he wouldn't have longer arms than say a FMJ; his inside game is horrible, his best weapons are a jab and a straight, no body work almost no hooks, no serious speed, and his chin isn't the best. Now with all that scaled down you tell me if he was a welter with that style how many times he would get outworked, KOd or swarmed by top 10 guys. I'm not exclusively talking about Pacquiao, I'm talking about lower p4p guys in general.

 

I'm all for judging their skills and abilities, but keep them of p4p lists, it was made for guys who aren't heavies because if you were to theoretically resize a guy with their current abilities, you could imagine beastly would they be elsewhere. For almost any heavy you can think of resizing them means they get smashed. They are the baddest because of their tools in combination being huge already.

 

Floyd, Pacquiao, and Ward are all more skilled than Wlad. All three of them can fight on the inside, which is more than we can say for Wlad.

 

Pac has absolutely no inside game, but yes he's far more versatile than Wlad can dream of.

 

Wlad isn't even close. Guys like cotto would tear him up if they were the same size

 

Floyd, Pacquiao, Ward, and Bradley all have FAR better resumes than Wlad.
