Wlad probably would of knocked out Haye, but at least Haye would of put up much more of a fight than Chagaev did. Haye has to throw punches in bunches early, and be always coming forward. Wlad is next to unstoppable when he feels comfortable in the ring, but when he has any type of resistence, he panics and falls apart at the seams. Haye's only chance would be for him to make it a rough fight early on, one where Wlad never feels completely comfortable. Haye could win if it's fight, he has no chance of winning if it turns into a boxing match.
I think Wladimir Klitschko would've beaten Haye and stopped him but I think Haye would have early moments and be able to test Wladimir early on if he has the right gameplan. I still ee Klitschko stopping him in the middle rounds by about the 5th or 6th round though.
Haye has the best combination of speed and power that Wlad has ever seen outside of perhaps Corrie Sanders. Anyone denying that the man is a lethal puncher is lying through their teeth, Haye is the best HW for Wlad to fight right now. If Wlad puts him away than many of the doubts and questions about his toughess and chin would be erased.
The thing I like with Haye is that he comes to win and isn't going to be content to stand there and be jabbed to death. He'd at least attempt to make it a fight and go at Wlad. He's a step above most of the rest in the division simply because he has hunger and a will to win. He's not going to fight Wlad from the outside, Haye's no idiot.
I think your right, just from watching some of Hayes matches from the last couple years, the man comes to fight. Unlike Wlad, Haye dont mind exchanging bombs with his oppenents, even though his chin is at suspect level. I like Haye, he reminds me of the Heavyweights from the 90's, exciting fighting style, good personality, and can hype a fight. I think he brings alot to the table, and if his chin holds up, Haye as champ will help the division gain some of it's popularity back it lost during the early 2000's.
