I like how Wlad is putting feet to the fire. Imo, contract negotiations should start at the drawing board at this point. It's clear that both fighters are each other's best option. No more crazy rematch clauses beyond the standard rematch clause. Get a reasonable split based on how much each fighter brings to the table. Wlad technically beat Chagaev, who should have had that WBA strap, but right now Haye has beaten the WBA recognized champ (Valuev) and a former Champion in Ruiz. Ruiz has always lingered near the top WBA rankings.

There is no reason why this fight can't get made on better terms than what was put out there last year. Wlad seems to want to make the fight really badly now, and Haye is the only guy HBO really wants to broadcast him against. This Haye fight will get him back on HBO.

Haye was agreeable to last years terms before he pulled out, so with a WBA strap, he should get a contract that is agreeable to him. I don't think he and Booth will be as unreasonable as people think. Setanta Sports did go bust, after all. But he accepted, then pulled out of a fight with Vitali blatantly in everyone's opinion. I cut him a lot of slack before he pulled that stunt.

Ah well, forget the bull**** -- let's get it on!! Boente and Schaefer need to get to work. Right now, I'd pick Wlad TKO7. That jab is not easy to counter over the top. Not the way people think.

 

I notice Wlad's English is improving.

Especially his trash vocabulary.

 

Vitali and Vlad want to get Haye into a ring ASAP! However, Haye will never do such.

 

Weren't they supposed to have a meeting on Wednesday? What happened with that?
