Wlad won by a KO. That's it. All the people need to deal with it. I think the haters are already used to Wlad winning all the time, so they just blame his "style". Too bad, the man did what he had to win.

Some people don't understand intelligent boxers. Even when 9 times out of 10, his fights end with knockouts.

That is what is so mindblowing. He has a crazy high KO % when Holmes and Tyson and others let far more inferior fighters go the distance.

Let's put it this way - if Klitschko was less visible - say, world light middleweight champion - winning in exaclty this style, he wouldn't be as rich or as hated. He would be getting lauded by hardcore fans as pound for pound top 12, he'd be the subject of a great deal of praise and very little criticism on the forum.

Because people expect more from what is tradtitionally boxing flagship fighter he suffers.

He is capable of more, of course, which is why he's so frustrating to watch.

It's amazing. People act like Sam Peter is just lighting the world up right now as well. Yet, Wlad has only let two fights go the distance in the last 7 1/2 years. Sam Peter has gone the distance in 5 of his last 7 fights.:huh Including going the distance against Robert Hawkins. :-(

He ate up every punch that was landed on him... defended others well... figured out his opponent, broke him down, and knocked him out. If you expect more than that in a boxing match, you are probably watching the wrong sport.

Thompson adjusted for him. It was most convenient.

I can't decide if you're serious or not.

People tend to "adjust for you" after they eat over 100 flush power punches. I am sure that those weren't too convenient for Thompson.

Props to Tony. He completely confused Wlad. Tony took off Wlad's footwork and jab. It was clear that Wlad has much quicker hands. Still Tony was very good in defense.

Watching the fight I didn't really know how Wlad could correct himself. He was trying hard. Perhaps he could have fought smarter. Not to try to knock when Tony was covering. And not be hesitant when he rocked Tony multiple times. Perhaps the game plan was wrong.

All’s well that ends well. I hope this fight will make Wlad better.
